I'll bite. Because they're already up by 4, a field goal does nothing. By going for 2, if the Eagles score a TD it's a tie game, and there's a chance of course the kicker misses the XP (especially more common since it's been moved back) and you go to OT. They have to get a TD either way. If Jets kick the XP and Eagles get a TD it's just over period.

XP's have like a 10% chance to be missed. Eagles kicker has already missed an XP-like kick today. 49ers lost on a marginally more difficult kick. Main thing is just avoiding the pick 2 in that scenario.
