Holland Fisher is a 4* 83 grade on ESPN. They must have finally gotten around to ranking him.

where did you get the rivals state rankings? I didn't think they'd done those yet.

We have 7 **** on ESPN. Fisher is part of the top 150 and Hodges, Pfaff, and Jefferson are part of the top 300. Did not expect ESPN to rank a lot of these guys this high.

As far as I can tell ESPN ignores what the other services are doing and goes off the film they have. As a result there's always at least one prospect for us they have ranked completely differently than the other services. For example last year of the linebackers we signed they were most impressed with DVD.

They also put a heavy emphasis on whether a player is ready to play right away.

Yo Hokie fans....I just read on BamaOnline that we might have a good shot at taking Holland Fisher from you guys. It was just an article about 5 recruits we could possibly flip, here's the part about Fisher...

"Fisher committed to in-state Virginia Tech while in Blacksburg for a junior day in February. He’s since seen his stock rise steadily through the May evaluation period and the summer camp circuit. Alabama offered Fisher on May 22 and the four-star prospect responded by saying, “…that’s my school” in reference to the Crimson Tide. Fisher remains committed to the Hokies and plans for a visit to Tuscaloosa in July."

In my opinion, it seems like if we were really "his school" then he'd have already made some commotion by now.

Have you guys heard anything either way on this guy?

I like all you Hokie fans.....but I like stealing recruits even better.

Hey what's up man. I know it has been discussed before on this board a few times. I will call in to Bill King's show and talk to JC Shurburtt from 247 and see what he thinks. Also want to get his feeling on Kendall Fuller.

That is a comment he made over a month ago. Haven't heard much about this . He said he may go take a look but that he is still Solid Vt. Furthermore, If 'bama was "his school" why would he commit to VT so early? Those comments were twisted a bit by the Sabanites. Never say never, but I'm not too worried about it.
