His wonderlic was lower than Brett Favre's. Dude isn't very bright.
Bless your heart having this much confidence in the wonderlic over on the field production.
Due to style of play. Mahomes and Allen's style of play is more conducive of more long term injury concerns than Burrow. Burrow has sustained a horrific knee injury but his style of play isn't indicative of long term injury issues unless the O-line gets worse.
Burrow is literally a man who has not seen a sack he did not want to take… even with average pass pro he would be projected to take 45 sacks. That’s as injury prone a playstyle as it gets unless you run QB power every other play.

Not me buddy, just decades of data and NFL coaches and scouts who utilized these scores as a component.
Wonderlic scores hold up the test of time. That's why they were used and very crucial for QB's. Low IQ QB's with talent need elite coaches to spoon feed them or they will suffer.

Case and point, Bungles need to improve their pass protection. Any QB would eventually break their leg with a terrible pass blocking O-line like the Bungles.

So, that outweighs what Mahomes does on tape why? Let’s ignore the validity of IQ tests and how applicable they are to the NFL in general… why is it outweighing what Mahomes is doing on the actual field?

And no, not everyone would take 50+ sacks behind the Bengals OL. Joe simply takes a lot of sacks - point blank.

Brett Favre had a 22. Great QB.

Iowa's Nate Stanley had a 40. Jake Fromm scored a 35. Fromm is a backup and Stanley isn't in the League.

Carson Wentz scored well and he plays and processes about as well as a potato.

As stated before, an elite coach can spoon feed and assist a talented low IQ QB. Like Mike Holmgren with Brett Favre when he won 3 MVP's and had his lowest Int's of his career with Iron Mike.

No not everyone but eventually a vast majority of QB's would get injured behind that trash Oline. I feel bad for the guy all that talent but they don't want to give him an oline just like the Seachickens with RW.

It's one factor, Favre was at his peak when he had an elite coach with him in Mike Holmgren. Also those other QB's listed didn't have the natural talent. This is just one factor but it's a difference maker especially if you don't have the HC. Aaron Rodgers (35 wonderlic) was able to win MVP's in spite of having a low IQ HC because Rodgers had the elite talent and high IQ. If Mahomie had an average or below average coach he would struggle.

Mahomes is throwing before a guy even breaks out of his route seemingly every other throw and you think he is being spoonfed what is arguably the most expansive and complex passing O in the NFL? Come on. I’ve seen Trubisky in a similar structure in Chicago- it was obvious he was ass; Nagy for sure was shit tactician and Bears roster poop, but Trubs flat stunk.

I’m going with Allen as well. Toughness factor and the fact that he didn’t have All Pros Tyreek and Kelce for years.

But I’d surely take Mahomes if you gave him

Brings back memories when local radio hosts were upset about not drafting DeShaun Watson.

“Texas Tech is a fake offense! but Big 12!”
Watson is another that didn't have the best Wonderlic score but it hasn't really hurt him.....and he had O'Brien as the HC for a while.

LOL.

Bigger, stronger, better arm, better athlete, easy call for me.

But I’d take Mahomes with the second pick.
