Yea you are right. He has. Forgot about thatI heard he has been taking reps in the outfield while he’s been up with the Rangers.
There is no guarantee however feel good it is that all these prospects will perform well at the MLB level. So I am not going to dis the signing especially as it may have been a package deal thing to show we are credible. The conundrum with Smith, Duran and Jung, along with Foscue, shows why it didn't make sense to sign Semien.
Looking forward to the eye testAll three have a 55 grade for their arms.
exactly some just don't get thatThere is no guarantee however feel good it is that all these prospects will perform well at the MLB level. So I am not going to dis the signing especially as it may have been a package deal thing to show we are credible.
It is hard to develop superstars. They just need to deliver. Good farms always have an overage.
Take dat to the bank lol
I have a good feeling we will have good players out of the crop but there is so much that could happen, injures and just the difference between MILB and MLB pitchingexactly some just don't get that

If Sermien had had more than two really good seasons or if he played another position I might agree. There is no guarantee however feel good it is that all these prospects will perform well at the MLB level. Apparently, it is very hard to sign a guy to perform as a superstar, especially when one has proven to be too inconsistent for a few years to be labeled as a superstar.t is hard to develop superstars.
My biggest concern is will they keep the right guys and trade the right ones. Can they make a decision to trade a good player to make room for a potentially great player? That part takes a lot of guts and a lot of wisdom.Trades are going to happen and that scares me to death.....can they get it right? Whatever trades are made, Howard needs to be included, even if nothing is returned but some chalk for the lines

and a guy name Beltre proves itAnd hindsight is pretty much the only way to know who is who.
From Scott Lucas:
Cole Ragans handled his first AAA start with aplomb, lasting seven innings on just 81 pitches. No previous Round Rock starter had reached seven innings. Ragans delivered 40 fastballs and a whopping 34 changeups, getting 11 swinging strikes with the latter. Ragans leads the organization with 58.1 innings and 73 strikeouts.
The homer came courtesy of Lewis Brinson.
SP Cole Ragans: 7 IP, 6 H (1 HR), 2 R, 0 BB, 1 HBP, 8 SO, 81 P / 60 S, 2.57 ERA
Marc Church threw a career-high three innings and 44 pitches. The first half ends next Thursday, after which, who knows, maybe Church's services will no longer be needed in high-A. We'll see. Church has struck out 53 of 119 batters faced and walked only five.
RP Marc Church: 3 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 SO, 2.64 ERA
Ryan Garcia went on the IL soon after his first real game since 2019, which had me feeling a little sick, but I was told his situation wasn't serious, and now he's back. Garcia's 5.1 innings in 2022 are already more than 2019-2021 combined.
SP Ryan Garcia: 2.2 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 1 HBP, 6 SO, 49 P / 31 S, 1.69 ERA
They get paid the big bucks to not have to use hindsight. Not saying they are going to be perfect, but they do have to make the right decisions well over 50% of the time. And hindsight is pretty much the only way to know who is who.
Didn't someone just rank him in our top 20?Nice report.
Man, Marc Church is a beast. High strike outs but doesn’t walk many. He looks good. He might be a sleeper that ends up being a top 15 prospect by season end.
Ryan Garcia might get on the board too!
Very exciting

It took zero hindsight for many to realize they messed up with the Gibson trade.
That's true. Actually, I wasn't even talking about them making good trades. I am mainly interested in their decisions about who to trade and who to keep. What they get in the trades is secondary for me, although, I would hope they make some wise trades too.fair point.
guess what I meant was that it's not an exact science, and sometimes trades can take a few seasons to pan out.
Eric Longenhagen of Fangraphs ranked Church 13th.Nice report.
