I have no problems in trading Payne for Carr. Especially if we sign Settle back. We tried a huge move last year to get Stafford. I expect the same thing done this year. Every Washington fan should be routing for the Rams to lose in the playoffs b/c Stafford personally said he did not want to come to Washington. If the Rams dont get a win in the playoffs that is in embarrassment for all the talent they have and all the draft picks that they gave up.

On another note, I thought it was funny that Mayhew just threw Scherff under the bus by saying we offered him the highest paid OG contract in NFL history and Scherff still said no. I actually liked it, it shows Sherfffs true colors that he doesnt want to be here. Apparently Scherff thinks he can get more in this year's FA than last years. I understand the cap is going up and there is more money to spend but do any of you think he gets offered #1 OG money in this year's FA?

Scherff definitely can make more in NY, or Jax. They would probably overpay. sux there are contract issues, if he was healthy id say pay the man.

I totally agree @chillerdab. Now we must ask ourselves why he doesn't. Why Trent didn't? Why Payne doesn't? Why Kirk didnt? Why are the few picks that we hit on hellbent on getting outta here. It runs deeper than Snyder. He's the main issue, but a lot of the players, not all, but a lot leave and still swear by Synder.

We can't pay our RG almost double our LT. Doesn't make sense to me. Trent and Krik didnt want to stay b/c of Allen. Yes Payne could get traded this year.

I disagree because of draft position is there anybody better then Watson at 11 this year ? Next year draft is there someone better then watson?? Just keep your 2-7 rds and hope you hit on some gems .. if your going gamble .. gamble big!!!

I'm all in on Watson if he can get his legal troubles taken care of and Rivera can convince him to waive his no trade clause. I wouldn't mind Carr, Pickett, or Corral either.

Gotta bring in two quarterbacks this off-season. If something happens to QB1 in week 1 are we really prepared to go with Heinicke for another full season.

We'd be right back where we started. Draft two. Sign one, draft one. Trade for a QB and draft one.

I’m not sure exactly why many high profile players want to leave DC, but I can think of a few reasons:
Losing culture
Constant team drama off the field
Lack of fan support at games
Subpar facilities compared to other teams
High cost of living im DMV compared to other places


I also dont think it would be in any player’s best interest to criticize an NFL owner publicly, if they want a job from another NFL owner. After all, there are only 32 of them.
