Definitely a joke, but people are way too fn sensitive. Life is too short.

Certain topics (like that one) aren't just a joke, it's a joke with intent. Kinda like using the n-word in public.

He would be backing up Sexton presumably.
Seems like he was an exceptional shooter overall and from 3 as a rookie but has struggled some since. Thoughts on why? I guess stuggled when Lebron added. Would think should make things easy but some don't play as well with him. Struggled a bit in NO, as well.

They are. But we know what a team led by Westbrook looks like.
There were doubts the Big 3 in Miami could work but they all made it work, And I don't have to tell you James was on that team.

No, big men take longer to develop.....he'll have an adjustment period like Wiseman did in GS.
All big men develop the same? That is news to me. Some are more talented than others. Embiid's first year playing he averaged 20 ppg and almost 3 bpg. We will see with Mobley but Wiseman and Mobley aren't comparable for a lot of reasons. Only reason they are comparable is bc they are both athletic, lanky and drafted high and that's pretty much it.

With a superstar teammate and depth around them? Deep playoffs? We're not talking about Lebron missing a full season. Any team that loses their top star for the season is looking ahead to the next season ultimately.

Yet dropped TT and a few others if I remember right.
you don't remember right. TT was a FA and chose to leave. I'm sure some others have dropped off since then who were not worth keeping. But - right or wrong - the idea he paid Love should have showed you were off base.

All the kids' roles shifted when Lebron arrived. He's a 3 and D type ultimately, with more emphasis on the D IMO.

And the offense was painful to watch last season when we werre without James and AD.

Hoping it doesn't.....but if it happened again for a short period.....we're prepared for that with the talent we brought in. The defense may take a minor hit but we're better offensively.

We're talking about wear and tear. The Big 3 in Miami were all in their prime. Westbrook's an "old" 32, Lebron's going to be 37 before the playoffs start, and AD is often injured.

I think it ultimately works in LA, we'll see if it results in a title. But the original point was more on how Westbrook may start hitting his decline given his style of play and miles he has.

...and clearly, the front office was smoking something
That didn't really workout but in their defense it didn't hurt the team...they were entering a rebuild and technically still in a rebuild. Even this year...who would they attract in FA? Next year they can buy him out and still no guarantee they can attract FA's bc it's CLE. They will have to draft (like they have been doing) and/or make a trade to acquire a player. That being said, I think we can all look back at this point and the Love signing was a bit premature but it also didn't hurt them imo

With the glut of guards already on the Lakers, not sure where Green would fit in, and who starts? Would welcome him for sure, but some of these signings are going to be upset about minutes...

You could plug Green in at at the 3; 4 in small-ball lineups. Can never have enough 3-and-D wings in the NBA.

Westbrook's miles? No more than most superstars. He hasn't been to the finals since OKC. Sure he plays hard and fast, but that's not an overload of minutes and he's always had a second star in tandem.

seems like what Okoro offers, but certainly another like that could help and would be great if he could get back that shooting stroke (if we acquire him, obviously).
