I like the Kelly signing for the Pistons. He balled out with the Rockets......he can score, rebound, and pass.....Hopefully it's a good thing all is quiet on thr Diallo front. Getting him back cheaply would be nice.

always better if these things get done on the cheap...Hopefully it's a good thing all is quiet on thr Diallo front. Getting him back cheaply would be nice.

It's always a good thing if you have too many guys you can't pay, like you said I hope the issue isn't...are these guys really worth paying? For me all that could depend on Mobley, they either build this into something special or it fails and they fall into another rebuild. They need a star to build anything special.not necessarily.
So right now the lux tax line is 136 million. That will only continue to go up- especially after Covid stagnation.
Allen just signed to 20M- which is not bad at all. Its pretty much the going rate for a solid player. Love is off the books in 2 years- right when they have to extend Garland- you basically just switch the deals (if Garland wants and deserves a "max"- which i certainly hope he does.
Mobley and Okoro are not extension eligible for years of course. Even when they are- they are still limited to contracts that are only 25% of the cap if they are "max" guys.
Now- who knows what Sexton gets- and if he stays--- 136 million right now is over 5 "max contracts". If they are willing to pay the tax- that goes even higher- which- i mean- Dan G. is worth 35 billion i dont think he will mind.
I worry about much more if the guys will be worth paying- than if they will have the space to pay- especially young guyso n their 1st post-rookie K's.
They really don't need Allen to shoot 3's...Mobley will be that guy hopefully. He has a sweet stroke, that being said, Allen has improved his jumpshot. He has a mid-range shot he just needs to be more consistent. How many 3's has Allen ever made? Asking for a friend.
Outdated center and all.

right....and when your core 5 is 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23 years old --- you arent going to win much anyway. Id expect them to have a back end lotto pick this year---- all though in the new lotto weird things can happen.....It's always a good thing if you have too many guys you can't pay, like you said I hope the issue isn't...are these guys really worth paying? Yeah and his numbers seem good from mid-range to 3 he just rarely takes those shots. It will take time bc I saw that he does hesitate sometimes but when he does pull the trigger he looks smooth. Either way he is a good enough defender, paint protector and finisher like Gobert he won't be needed to do a whole lot. He adds a good mid-range and it puts defenders in an uncomfortable situation with his length and athleticism. You can get by with one guy on the floor who doesn't shoot 3's much. He does just enough to keep defenses honest

Just calling out Wiggy on his double standard bullshit. According to him, centers need to be able to hit the 3.They really don't need Allen to shoot 3's...Mobley will be that guy hopefully. They'll load manage AD and James, possibly RW for that reason.
Yeah maybe at the end of the year if they have a seed wrapped up, otherwise Lebron is playing. He doesn't do that Kawhi bsThe roster as constructed revolves around Lebron. Countless times we've always mentioned Lebron being load managed, yet he always averages around 38-40 MPG.
With what the Lakers already signed, they don't need Schroeder. I think that dude is gone. I don't think the Lakers even wanted him. Him and Kuzma messed up the chemistry feuding.Ace in the hole isn't worth much when the other guy has a flush
and as much as it galls me to admit it, he's the proverbial glue that holds the whole thing together...The roster as constructed revolves around Lebron. Countless times we've always mentioned Lebron being load managed, yet he always averages around 38-40 MPG.
