lmao get the fuck outta here, homer. hey, i loved Sterling, dude was awesome, he had great hands. But he's not even in the same zip code as some of the other fellas already mentioned in this thread.

Sterling Sharpe was on his way to the HOF before that career ending injury.

-never missed a game in 7 seasons
-five 1,000 yard seasons (39 yards short of 6)
-led the league in catches 3x
-led the league in TD's 2x
-lead the league in yards once

Dude scored 14 points. His job is to lead the offense and he only needed to best his opponents score of 17. He couldn't. I'd call that choking.

I disagree. Go look at the main numbers put up by receivers....catches/yards/TD's....then go look up say....Sharpe, Moss, T.O..

In those categories, Moss led the NFL 5 times, all in TD's, in a 14 yr career. Owens led the NFL 3 times, all in TD's in a 15 yr career. Sharpe led the NFL 6 times (3 times in catches, one time in yards and twice in TD's), in a career that was half as long as the others.

He should be in the HOF.

oh, yeah, he should definitely be in the Hall, but he's absolutely no Randy Moss. You're out of your fucking gourd to think otherwise.

Okay? He wasn't Randy, wasn't Terrell, wasn't good as them. Sorry, it's true, pee wee.

Don Hutson

Hutson played from 1935 to 1945; ineligible for this discussion since his career ended 20 years before the Superb Owl even existed.

OK...how is he not Randy Moss? If you're going by physical freakness....alright....I guess. He still led the NFL in more main categories than Moss in a career that was half as long. He also did most of that in the prime Jerry Rice years.

I never said he was Randy or TO you jackass. So because he wasn't as good as those 2 he wasn't on his way to the HOF? You're clueless.

When did this discussion become about the HoF? We're talking about never having won a Superbowl here, pants-on-head retard.

They had this segment leading up to the Pats game, with Fitzgerald, Moss and Rice (ok, probably irrelevant in this thread), with BB and Collinsworth in there commenting. Was really good IMO.

Great receivers, obviously, but what got my attention is how clean they looked. These guys are really good and never got involved with the kind of crap most players go through.

Even Randy was great with his input, the guy may have rubbed some people the wrong way, but he was a helluva player and looked very classy in with the hat (lol).

My bad, you're right. Through 7 years Shapre wasn't in TO's league. By the way here's their stats through 7 years.

TO: 512 catches / 7,470 yards / 72 TD's
Sharpe: 595 / 8,134 / 65

Well look at that Sharpe had more catches & yards through 7 seasons. You said Sharpe wasn't in the same zip code as TO. He was before a career ending injury. You're an idiot.

he should be in the HOF but he isn't in the same breath as Moss, T.O. or others bc of longevity.
