Mahomes is the truth, but if the team gets into a slugfest, they lose 9 out of 10 times,
9 out of 10 times? Do you watch football?

Colts controlled the ball by running it... kept Mahomes off the field
That's not backed really by data, it's a meme. Pretty rare to achieve that, nor is it a sustainable strategy.

Running the ball doesn't really control the clock like long drives do- in fact, it's arguably worse because they are generally negative EPA.

The Colts scored 19 points.

The Chiefs offense sucked, and the Colts played a part in that.

Even still, rushing success is so circumstantial, RB's should get very little credit.

The Lions showed the blueprint for how to beat the Chiefs and the Colts followed through. Complete domination of a weak defense

That was old school football by the Colts, run the ball, use the clock, keep in close, in the end you wear them down and pull off the W .... D line, O line for the Colts were the MVP's ....

Not backed by data? Why don’t you look at how many plays the colts ran vs how many plays the chiefs ran. Of the colts plays why don’t you see how many were running plays.

I’ll wait...

Completely irrelevant. This isn't difficult. The teams had the same number of possessions. This has been mathematically proven false.

If you want to say fewer possessions lead to more random results, that makes more sense, but that sure doesn't look like your argument.

Also not a real thing in the NFL, mathematically so.

Hahahaha.

The greatest coach in football history talked about it as a MAJOR reason why they were able to come back from 28-3 in the SB but you call it “not a real thing”.

Bwhahaha

Laughable

Some of y'all are smoking so much crack if you think a team that scored 2.1 points per drive had some good offensive strategy.

It's not a real thing.

Belichick also said he doesn't believe in analytics when the Pats were one of the first on that bandwagon.

IOW: You're a naive fool.

He most certainly did say it was a real thing. Atlanta’s D was gassed!! Why? Because the pats had run so many plays.
