How the hells have you been Mamba? Don't know if you've been around for awhile or not, just saw you here...
Hi there, Vita!! Good to see you’re well, brother. Hopped back in the mix to say hi at the beginning of the season and these lovely people pulled me back in.

Wtf just looked at the score thinking Wazzu won big. Atrocious defense. If you give up 67 to UCLA you should be kicked out of a P5 conference
Nooooo no no, Shaneman. All things WSU Cougars are have been a cherished treasure for decades out west. The good, the bad, and the cougin it has now become a National Treasure.

This is the first time I can say I’m not completely pissed off. With a 32 point lead the offense needed to let off the gas. Patmon, Fisher and Winston all fumbled because they were fighting for extra yards. The defense didn’t do as bad as I think. UCLA’s QB went from being a terrible quarterback for 2 1/2 quarters to an all American on them. That’s not on the Cougs defense. The refs did fuck us twice bigly with Fishers fumble and the one DTR fumbled that we initially kind of got then came out of the pile with. Hats off to UCLA, especially to DTR and whatever number 10’s name.

Gave 657 yards and 67 points. Couldn't hold a 32 point lead.

To a team that was 0-3 going into the game and had scored 14 points in each of their 3 losses including to a G5 team.

:pound:

Yeah, that D was hella good. :wtf:

This goes further than offensive or defensive meltdowns.

It has a much more mystical meaning. Couging it is a powerful force of nature we may never fully understand. This isn’t simply x’s and o’s Much deeper forces at work here.

Does it have something to do with being so close to Moscow?

It could be. I love the gameday experience in Pullman. There is nothing that is remotely close to that road trip to the Palouse, the tailgating is excellent. The people are amazing up there too.

Add to that how "special" the special teams were and 6 turnovers and your recipe for disaster is complete

It might be contagious, if we are being honest. We all saw the Ducks Auburn game.

Now that your season is in a spiral, here's a book suggestion to help pass the time this week @wazzu31

I had a good feeling about this game, I didn't think the Bruins would win, wasn't convinced they would even cover that huge spread, still I liked the matchup, just thought the game needed to be at the RB for them to have half a chance. (Actually in hindsight, them boo-birds probably would have took some of the edge that DTR found late in that game, so I think it was actually favorable for them to be on the road down by 32)

Also I wont say much against the Cougs defense, considering 14 of the 67 points were from ST, and those 6 turnovers really hurt the Coug defense too. The turnovers either gave up a scoring opportunity or bad field position for the Coug defense coming on the field. Besides that, the Bruins defense was much worse.

Even the 32 pt comeback seems a bit overblown when you consider the Bruins won every quarter in the game except the 2nd quarter.

The Bruins defense needs to make some leaps and bounds, because they just suck. In their last two games they've given up 111 points and 1331 yards. Sure those were given up to two of the best two offensives in College Football, but that's not even building block material. :L

I don’t follow Bruins football at all but DTR and whoever your number 10 is can flat out play if they can just stay consistent.

Eh, like I said I wouldn’t even really consider it that. Like I said usually I’d be pissed but I really wasn’t. Plus this is a good lesson for Leach to have a nice entire subject in his class.

I didn’t say our defense did an amazing job. But it wasn’t our defenses fault we blew that lead. The wide receivers and special teams were the reason they lost the game.

It set a record for most second half points allowed that broke the prior one set back before TV was a thing.

It quite literally was one of the worst defensive efforts in the history of west coast football.

Yes, they gave up 6 turnovers. That happens. The defense is still charged with limiting damage on those and yours failed miserably. It really isn't debatable.

Wasn’t even close to the worst defensive efforts. 6 turnovers do happen. But nearly all of those yards were given up a 5 plays. You can say the special teams had one of the worst efforts but in no way will I put more than 10% of that loss on the defense. That loss was on the offense and more specifically Mike Leach and his inability to be a head coach instead of just an offensive guru going for records. Borghi should’ve ended up with 35 carries with how he was running since UCLA wasn’t even tackling.
