POLL Does Andrew Luck Stay Retired?

Does Andrew Luck Stay Retired?

  • Yes, he's done with football. Retired for good.

  • He gets the itch after a year or 2 off and tries a comeback.

  • Who's neck beard hair is this in the potato salad?

or does he take a year or 2 off, shake off the rust, and try for a comeback?

No way. He will get healthy and mentally rested and I don't even think it takes 2 years. I think by midseason he is missing the only thing he has known for his entire teenage and adult life. He will start making calls around December and will be aiming for camp next year. Not sure the Colts will take him back though.

I could see him getting traded to a team looking to "win now" in the short term, Indy will be looking to build for the future. My super bold prediction...Luck gets traded to New Orleans in the offseason as a stop gap replacement for Brees who retires after '19.

He stays retired from playing. I'm sure this was an agonizing decision for him and part of the process of making the decision was the realization that he will miss the game and all it entails, particularly when we feels back to 100 percent. He is a thoughtful young man. I really think he's through playing

M guess is that he travels around the world with his giant bank account, and bang that wife of his on every continent. Crutches optional.

Yeah, the Colts hold all the cards if he can get that calf muscle issue squared away and wants to play again. They could force his hand and make him come back to Indy or trade his rights for the best package of players and picks and he has little say in the matter other than staying retired.

Personally, I think he's done.

I think he's done. He could've been put on IR and collected his full 2019 salary, but did what some might consider an honourable thing and retired before he was officially on the 53. It's probably why Irsay decided to let him keep his bonus.

Maybe that bonus is however, an open door invitation for a return....but I think he's still done.

remember when ricky williams retired abruptly on the dolphins before camp? all the hate and vitriol. (yeah he failed a pot test). but he retired, and the team was screwed. the team went like 4-12.

Andrew Luck missed out on smoking weed so he'll do that now that he's free from the NFL's cold shackles.

I voted the second option but I believe he stays retired for a minimum of 2 years. Maybe 3.

30% of people think he will play again. But over 95% of people think he has no chance to make the HOF.

He's done, because his wife told him so.

There's no way to be certain but I honestly think he's done for good. He just doesn't strike me as a guy who would do that. And I don't think his heart is in the game anymore so I don't think he gets the "itch". I think he is ready to move on to the next chapter and be with his family full time.

The implication of the HOF question was that he's played his last game.
