Yeah, I bet.

:finger: ;)

Speaking of the Celtics... you know who would be a good pick-up for the Lakers?:

Al Horford.

Floor spacer. Doesn't need the ball in his hands. Defense. Fits in with the title window that LeBron James is a part of.

I think Al already has something set up, so I don't think this is likely... but it would be sweet (for the Lakers) if they could actually pull it off.

I agree. I remember listening to a sports talk show (maybe Dan Patrick) where AL was suggested and my initial reaction was "Wtf?" lol

But then when I thought about it, it actually wouldn't be a bad way to go.

He would be a really good fit. Personally, I'd prefer that they got someone younger. But Big Al would be a great "Plan B" type player.

Agree. If the Lakers do a good job filling out the roster, I think they'll be better and the favorite.

But yeah, Utah should be darn close and would be a real threat. Getting Conley was huge for them.
i will wait and see how the Lakers fill out their roster, but i think Utah will be better. They have better defense and shooting.

And with the Lakers- you have LeBron and AD, but LeBron will be 35 with the most miles in NBA history on his odometer for a player of that age, and Davis has not been a model of health by any means.

A team with little depth, relying on those 2 playing big minutes, is a very risky proposition. If either gets hurt for a significant amount of time it will have a major impact.

If no major FAs sign there, Clippers for sure, probably New Orleans, possibly Utah or Golden State,
If Durant comes back and gets somewhat healthy, and Klay gets healthy for the playoffs, I will of course pick Golden State to win the West.

But if Durant leaves and Klay takes his time getting healthy I think Utah is my pick in the West. A LOT of moves yet to go though. I just love a core of Conley, Mitchell and Gobert and some of their role players. They can defend at an extremely high level, can shoot, have a big time distributor in Conley, a big time creator and scorer in Mitchell and the 2 time reigning DPOY in Gobert who is the best rim protector in the game. Joe Ingles is a great shooter. Exum will be back and be a solid bench guard that can D people up.

They will likely lose Rubio and Favors- so they need to add a guy or two, but they are a couple moves away from being a team that can win it all.

If they are lacking depth, it'll likely be because they landed a 3rd star level player. That should help unless they lose 2 of the 3 like the Warriors did last year.

If they end up dividing their cap space up among several really good role players, they should have depth.

But yeah, can't really say anything until they have more than 3 guys on the roster. lol

Clippers and Pelicans have tons of more money than the Lakers to improve their team further and they surely will...

GSW or Utah more probable, but GSW has lots of experience and knows which wins are feasible to get if stays crippled and Utah also has enough cap space as to improve...

Lakers are already up to 76.5M in guaranteed salaries with only 3 contracts signed. Minimum of players allowed in the league is 13.... therefore another 10 players to sign... At least 5 of those players must be starters and prime rotation which don't come cheap... and then if it's only 5 good ones, one should keep his fingers crossed there will be no injury to any of the 8 ever coming... Then it will take to convince 5 good to go to LA and not to alternative destinations (perhaps the most difficult part).

Russell if let go from the Nets will go to the Pels (he is CAA)... Kyrie will sign with the NETs... Who the other 5 (or more) will be? Green will be one (he is Clatch) and will cost some 12M...

Sure, but the Lakers are making the playoffs IMO

And? The Lakers are also paying 2 of the top 5 players in the league. So, the Clips and Pelicans have a long way to go to catch up.

One way or the other, the GSW is going to be without KD all season and they will be without Klay until at least February.

Utah, with the addition of Conley, is scary. That team could be a real threat, even if the Lakers do a great job filling out their roster.

Oh yah...only way they wont is if Davis or LeBron have a very serious injury and the rest of the teams are just as good if not better than last year.

Portland is going to be good again next year

Utah i think is going to be very good

Houston is up in the air- who knows what kind of moves they make, but even if they just bring back their core of Harden, Paul, Capela, Gordon, Tucker- that is a damn good team

Clippers are up in the air with their cap room- they sign Kawhi- and would still have cap room to make another move- and they are all of a sudden maybe the best team in the West.

Pelicans have max cap room and are not a bad team by any means.

Dallas is a humongous sleeper as well- nothing would surprise me out of them. They have Doncic, Porzingis and a ton of cap space.

Denver is only going to get better as their core matures--- Jokic, Murray, Harris, Barton, Beasley etc. ---we will see what happens with Milsap and guys like Michael Porter Jr.

The Twolves still have Towns who is coming closer to his prime and is right around a top 15 player in the league.

Golden State has a ton of uncertainty but i doubt they fall off the face of the earth if Durant leaves

The West is still brutal, and if Kawhi moves to the Clippers, and the Mavericks make a move or two, its only going to get worse

DLo is not going to the Pelicans. Just like KD isn't going to the Bulls.

Some guy named Lebron. Perhaps you've heard of him?
Oh yes! I surely have! That super player that won the championship with Wade back in 13/14.... correct? ...and then another during 15/16 with the Cavs and Irving correct?

Is he still playing the game? He certainly was a superb player back in the days...

Why would DLo go to the Pelicans? Their backcourt starters are set (Lonzo and Jrue). Pels need a center and depth.

Nope, just not going to those destinations.... 1. not on their lists 2. players don't flock to those destinations 3. the fit isn't there

D-Lo to Pelicans? what...they have Lonzo and Holiday
KD to the Bulls? They have Otto Porter and Lavine. Makes zero sense.

It's simple, just not for you.

I was sure it's that simple for you kid... So... The Pels don't need a Russell to play PG, because they have ...Ball (!!!) (Who? ...Balllolol!)
And the Bulls won't go after Durant because they have... Porter!

This is your case... correct? Interesting... it surely helps kids in LA dreaming after smoking all that Mexican stuff...

Same logic as saying "We have all that money to spend, but lets save them for a rainy day and let the Lakers beat us!" ...How convenient! It's exactly how the GMs of teams think!

Buddy, you need to get JUST ONE PREDICTION RIGHT before anything you post has any credibility. Just one, but it has to be something not 100% certain (no credit for predicting Klay resigns with the Warriors or the Cavs miss the playoffs)

You have some bold FA predictions, let's see if you get ANY of those right first, then we might listen to your bullshit. Right now you're the guy who's always wrong
