I would only worry about her first big chance being at the whim of Lebron. Would she survive standing up to him; would she have enough backing from the Lakers' FO to do so?
Excellent point. I could see why you might want her, but she needs to wait for a better opportunity. Even if they succeed, Lebron will get the credit....and we know who will be blamed if things go south.

well lets look at hte times the Cavs had #1

first time Kyrie---- Kyrie was the majority but he was not the consensus, if you remember DWilliams had an insane tournament- plenty of people wrote- take Dwill 1 an Bknight 4-- kyrie had the injury issues as well

second time- Anthony Bennett draft that was terrible at the top- the top guys were Bennett, Oladipo, a hurt Noel, Len, Ben McLemore.

third time- Wiggins/Embiid/Parker were all considerd to be #1 overall pick worthy- with Embiid the #1 guy no doubt if he was healthy, and PArker and Wiggins both kinda even.

not one time when the Cavs had the #1 pick was their a consensus cant-miss guy at the top like there will be this year or the anthony davis year or blake girffin year or john wall, KAT, Simmons, etc.
Assuming you are talking since Lebron.

Kyrie was close enough to consensus, as was Wiggins (given Embiid's injury). That Bennett pick is among the worst #1 picks of all time. Waiters at #4 was horrible as well (and I'm a huge Syracuse fan).

It's a great opportunity, but Lebron complicates things. As far as credit, she would hopefully outlast the end of Lebron's career, making that less of a factor.

Waiters at 4 wasn't that bad considering the picks after him.

AD, MKG and Beal went 1-3. Then Waiters.

5. Thomas Robinson
6. Damian Lillard was the huge get BUT the Cavs had a point guard, that pick would have made no sense for the franchise.

After that there was much other than Andre Drummond at 9 in the 1st round.

Bennett an awful pick but not like they passed on a franchise changing guy who made sense for them. Waiters? sure, could have done better, but he's far from a bust.

And for a similar reason not to take Dame it didn't make much sense to take Drummond with TT on the team.

You can ask NBA.com why they include it in their rebounding metrics FOR DEFENSE. Just to help you out, if it says "def reb" that is defensive rebounding if you were not aware.

See, told you. If you are confused, ask, and I'll help.

You're welcome, and I cannot wait to see you try and dance out of this one.

Players Defense
Here you go again with your inability to comprehend.

No one is debating that rebounds are a PIECE of defense.

To be clear, you DID NOT INITIALLY SAY THAT. You said defensive rebounding IS defense and end your sentence.

So see, while you're so eager to lend your help it's probably best used if you start on yourself.

seems pretty clear I meant defensive rebounding is an aspect of defense.

But you actually said a team who gives up a lot of shots and gets a lot of rebounds must not be playing good defense (for giving up so many shots).

That is priceless....but please keep trying to dance around it.

I have to laugh @ all the over the top LeBron Haters out there. I didn't even have the Lakers making the playoffs this year. Said before the start of the season they would win around 46 games. Which wasn't enough W's to make the playoffs last year.

And anyone that thinks LeBron to LA-LA Land was about this year is fooling themselves.

Once the Lakers revamp their roster in the off season if they miss the playoffs next year then it's a problem.

And I wonder who's tops on their list to replace Walton? Any guesses LakersNation?
They haven't even won 35 games yet this season. My prediction for them was 8th seed, and clearly that was being generous. lol

Injuries happen. But I don't think the Lakers were expecting all these problems. I almost feel bad for them. Personally I think they're having a helluva season & sure the roster's broken but don't fix it.

Yes, I did say they must not be playing GOOD defense if the offensive player is getting a lot of shots up. Emphasis on the word good. That's common sense, clearly something you're lacking.

I'm done debating this with you. you can deflect all you want. It doesn't change that what you've said is in print on this board, which i've actually provided for you in multiple posts.

Injuries have happened to EVERY team in the league. What hasn't happened to every team in the league though is their franchise player taking a dump on their team chemistry (referring to the AD debacle) and making his return from injury to pick up where they left off nearly impossible.

So, maybe you should be sending LBJ flowers this summer?? :D

Kudos to LeBron for fucking things up in Los Angeles. Hope he keeps up the good work.

But someone who just ook Kyrie and Waiters was taking. I think it was Porter if not Bennett.

If you're drafting #1, you have to take the best talent available. I've already stated my opinion of the Waiters pick. Porter would've been vastly better than Bennett too, though.

Yeah, Bennett at 1 might be one of the worst #1 picks overall all time. Lillard at 6 in any draft is a steal.

Yes, this was explained to you multiple times about a week ago.
Really did not think the sarcasm there needed to be explained, but I guess I wasn't thinking about you.
