I'm pretty far from a Lebron hater but this is just ridiculous.

Hey Lebron, as part of your agreement to get 10s of millions of dollars a year, you sacrifice certain labor rights and let your employer retain certain rights. If you prefer a situation where players are free to leave whenever they like, then agree to get paid a lot less money.

He and his camp have botched this AD and Luke Walton situations pretty badly so far, especially the AD part. If they really wanted him in LA, it would have been better for him to say he wants out in the Summer but after Boston or other teams had made other moves to lock in their rosters (think how like Kawhi got traded in late July). But trying to bully their way into now just pisses everyone off and gives New Orleans less incentive to give in.

I feel like Lebron honestly expected the Lakers to be way better than they are and wasn't prepared to play for a middling team. So he decided to push the issue with AD.

Goes on Twitter and this is the first thing i see lol basically what i just said about him signing these short contracts

I like KD but he's another guy who doesn't understand that getting paid 10s of millions of dollars comes with some consequences.

Love Jared Dudley. He doesn't sugarcoat anything

I agree

I better not hear AD whining about about not being able to focus next year when he created the whirlwind.

If players want the flexibility of free agency that's their right but it's also going to mean you get pestered about it

Couple of tweets suggest Fultz will be gone by noon.
To Memphis for Garrett Temple and a 2nd.
Or Orlando for Ross.

If they're waving the white flag, they really just want that money gone.
I'm still holding out hope, but maybe there's more going on behind the scenes.

I like Justin Jackson but he's not a big loss and probably wasn't gonna be their future starting SF anyways.

You’re gonna have nights when Barnes can’t hit an open shot to save his ass and nights when he’s unstoppable. But almost as important - you’re getting a seriously squared away dude who is as prefect a locker room presence as you can ask for as well as a guy who backs it up in the community. Most Mavs fans are big Barnes fans.

For us - we have a max deal slot. And with Luka & Kristaps in place, we have talent to lure a big fish.

It’s a win/win.

Ross would be a great pickup for your team.

Wow even Anthony Bennet was part of getting Love. That's an unheard of loss of value for a top pick.

Non-Shocking News Alert! KD is cranky with the media

I understand being irritated by the same monotonous hyperbole.

But, this Dude is ridiculously petulant.

You are in win now mode.

Fultz doesn't help you.

Looking at this situation thru a wide lens, yes , I'd be pissed too.

You wasted 2 picks and countless man hours.

But, if you allow yourself to have tunnel vision, just focusing on what you need to come out of the East, it should hurt a lot less.

Sixers can't let pride make them compound what was obviously a bad pick by sabotaging what they are on the cusp of accomplishing.

If Matthews shakes lose as a buyout, the market will be robust for his services.

I wouldn't risk waiting and would trade for Ross.

If he signed a longet deal with Golden State last summer then he wouldn't have to worry about this.

He is a top player who will be a free agent this summer. Media and fans are going to talk about possible destinations for someone who will be a FA in less than 5 months.

Should have found a different profession if the media bothers him so much. Thing that annoys me with KD is this isn't the first time he is bitching to the media about something.

Sorry KD but as a top player, the media are going to talk about you a lot.

It's what he signed up for when he became an NBA player.....part of the job.

It's not so much that I would be pissed that we let Fultz go. Sometimes you have to make tough choices when you start chasing titles.

What I'll be pissed about is that we will dumping him for pennies on the dollar. Trading him for expiring contracts like Ross or Temple now seems incredibly short sighted to me.

Fultz is a lost cause at this point. I'd be fine with dumping him. He's been awful.
For Philly, yes.

He can't help you and his salary mucus up the books this Summer.

He was a horrible #1 overall pick.

He may never live up to it.

But, he still has a chance to contribute to a team.

It just needs to be one with lower expectations.

Maybe Orlando is a good place.

Hawk, what do you think he's worth?

You should be willing to take pesos on the dollar if it allows you to keep your core four together.

More like pennies on the pennies.
His value has never been lower.
It's a sunk cost and hopefully the dying vestiges of the Colangelo era.

That being said, seemed like a good idea at the time.....
