Dude, what is it about you? I'm not the one crying. Its you that appear to have your panties in a wad because someone commented on your post (and actually agreed with you). I also have not put a clock on anything. I'm talking about sentiment and the danger of potential waning support.

Sorry if that read incorrectly, I was not directing the crying comment at you. Just I've heard it too often, "it's been 2 years so he must have nothing" is just a silly argument when, as I said, others took much longer.

And let's not forget an investigation goes where the evidence takes it, Bill Clinton was impeached for lying about something totally unrelated to Whitewater which was the focus of the initial investigation. So perhaps Mueller found things unrelated to Russia but very much illegal, he could have followed that road and that takes more time. That's not "fishing" it's investigating.

I agree the name calling is over the line but that's a few posts in a 300 page thread. Surely we can get past that no? I hope you reconsider.
we also have the FWIW thread that has taken over this original thread and its intent

i may take the political posts from this thread and move it into a thread called politics , change the rule 5 , and combine off topic and fwiw threads together
but that will take patience from everyone so i can go back to the first political posts in this thread so i can move them

a big time consuming thing for me to do

This is a fair analysis. The problem Mueller has is it is taking him way too long. He has got to wrap this up. The longer he drags this out, the more credence Trump's claims become. Its starting to appear he is just fishing.

That’s all this has ever been is a fishing trip. Only gonna make his supporters even more supportive

Or just name this one politics and social issues, let old posts sleep where they live and adjust the rules appropriately. Work smarter, not harder.

Some of his supporters jumped on his band wagon for some pretty messed up reasons though. And yes i expect they would not give up on him for any reason. But if your support of Trump comes out of some desire to prevent change that makes you uncomfortable, or fear that those changes will make America into something you dont like and you are willing to trample others rights to maintain your preferences

Sorry but some of us find those rather piss poor reasons to support a platform.

The fears I have is being taxed to death, and businesses being regulated to death, and terrorist and violent gang members being aloud in our country.

And I get the Taxes and business thing... although it has never really happened I get it.

As for the other two... since 9/11 the majority of Terrorists in this country have been home grown. And the number of gang members coming in from south of the border is a fallacy created by this President to scare people into voting for him. As the majority of gang members here are once again home grown. And again both to a degree are used as a politically correct way of saying... we just dont want OTHERS coming into our country.

I agree that the majority of both groups are homegrown. But that doesn't mean you let more in. Let's not sugarcoat it. Some coming into this country illegally, no matter how they got here, have evil ways.

Its like everything, we need moderation. But at a minimum, we should demand that every one coming into this country we know who they are, their intentions, and where they will be and how they are going to support themselves. That is rarely the case with those coming across our borders illegally, no matter which border they cross.

And i have never disagreed with any of this. But reality is, when you decide to make laws that discourage people from coming legally, you encourage people to come illegally for more reasons than just drugs and crime. The reality is, 90 years ago they made rules to discourage people from crossing legally.

Think of it like this, when you decide you are going to move from one town to another, dont you usually have a plan and at least try and save up to make that move?? Alot of the people coming for reasons OTHER than crime pay thousands of dollars to be smuggled into the country. Imagine for a moment if they had that money to establish themselves once they were here instead of sneaking in broke and hiding from the law. Reality is, if this were the case, the people we catch at the border WOULD be criminals because the only reason to sneak in would be for nefarious reasons.

Unauthorized Mexican immigrants usually pay $4,000 to cross the border on foot or $9,000 by boat.

Think about that for a moment. $4-9K goes a long way, and most of these people WOULD show up and do it legally if given the option. Our leaders created the need for an illegal crossing network.

Listen, they may never find anything on Trump, but that doesn't mean he's clean. They have his lawyer and a few of his inner circle admitting to wrong doing for the benefit of Trump, amongst other things. Its hard, in good conscience, to believe that Trump, the ultimate control freak, knew nothing. But with these convictions, Mueller should have something and he needs to poop or get off the pot.

Way I see it, we are looking at two options.

1. Either Trump is complicit in some or all of this dirt, in which case I would rather Mueller take his time and get it right.

2. Trump is as stupid as some of us think (me included) and all this happened without his knowledge... in which case if he is that dense.. do we REALLY want this guy running the country??

Of course the majority are coming here for a better life. And I have no idea if our current immigration laws are correct or not. But I do know this. They are our current laws. And they need to be enforced. And those laws are designed, it theory, to protect the rights of US Citizens, not immigrants. If the laws are not effective, then change them. Pound our our lawmakers to act, not our law enforcers.

So IM going to play devils advocate here and say... neither side wants to change the laws. Because both sides gain political power from the laws just as they are.

Actually, I would agree. So one could assume that the first problem we have to deal with is our own politicians and the system that encourages such actions?

I think more to the point is to deal with the people that support and enable them. Term limits need to be in place. And yes I think the government needs to be an accurate representation of the people.

But I might be biased a little on that last one. :thumb:

One of the most funny things people have commented on about Cohen and Stormy. And the blind listening of of left wing news often leads to BS being exposed .

Lying about an extra marital affair isn’t a high crime or misdemeanor . Not an impeachable offense . Many leftists used that argument about Bill Clinton and rightfully so

Waters , Pelosi , Schumer and the gang sang that tune then

Now please tell me paying a prostitute hush money out of your own pocket is a crime ? It isn’t nor is lying about it.

Congress has a slush fund that is used to pay off people who accuse them of sexual misconduct . 17 million dollars people , tax payer mind you , and it has been used 268 times . Now run this up to court and tell me how that ends up . I will tell you nowhere . I wonder how many of these payouts happened during elections ?

Now we have Cohen saying he helped Trump cover up other sexual liaisons . Again , so what ? Are you making the case he wouldn’t have won if it was made public ? Laughable

Lest we forget that infamous NBC video coming out during the election and the parade of women claiming all kinds of sexual misconduct !
What happened ? He still won even though
That information was out.

Now you keep listening to the press who tell you what you want to hear giving you false hope that it will all come crashing down

In the mean time I will put this in the latest failed smoking gun gotcha moments that will enter the scrap heap of broken dreams

For the record there's this one big difference in what Clinton did and Trump has done.

1. Clinton did it while in office, let's call it a perk of power which makes it immoral perhaps but NOT illegal.

2. Trump did it as a means to hide it from the voting public in order to gain office. That is a felony every day of the week and twice on Sunday!
