What was the general feel around EL before the game? Was this a surprise?I don’t know if I should be happy or ashamed we didn’t make the meltdown.
I was expecting to lose. Lewerke has been hot garbage all season. According to a coworker, the student section booed Lewerke starting the game and were chanting “Rocky” until he got into the game and booed again once Lewerke went back in.What was the general feel around EL before the game? Better news, if we lose to Nebraska, the alcohol poisoning will kill me before I get a chance to meltdown.Good news.
You’ll have another chance to make it in next week.
Yeah that Lombardi kid seems like he could be the spark their offense needs.I was expecting to lose. Lewerke has been hot garbage all season. I think the game would have been better had Lombardi started. We had half way decent starting field position with the 4 yard punt and Lewerke didn’t do anything with it. The entire second half your kicker pinned us on the goal line and with less than no running game, and Urban knew it, very few QBs can succeed.
My guess, yes the safety was intentional. The kicker made next to no effort to stop that ball. Didn’t even reach his hand over his head.Yeah that Lombardi kid seems like he could be the spark their offense needs.
Also - was the safety actual intentional?
I was pretty drunk by that point, but it did seem like a pretty poor effort. Chrisman had a hell of a game. I was also surprised at Weber's day. He played better than I thought he would. My guess, yes the safety was intentional. The kicker made next to no effort to stop that ball. Didn’t even reach his hand over his head.

We are going to be way down on the totem poll. Michigan, Ohio State, Northwestern, Penn State, and probably Wisconsin will all be selected above us. At that point it doesn’t really matter, it’s going to be a way too early bowl game where no one pays attention because they are at work.I was pretty drunk by that point, but it did seem like a pretty poor effort. So at 8-4 (assuming they win out), what bowl are you hoping for?

Yeah it does. I don't think 7-5 will get it done, and that would actually be a decent matchup. If MSU is in the Outback, my guess is against Florida or A&M.They're currently projected for the Outback. It would have been great if South Carolina could have held on against Florida last weekend, because they would have probably gotten another Outback bid. Would love to see Dantonio against his alma mater
Yeah, some of us dead beats don’t get union hours.People work around the holidays? Yuck.
Not sure about Wisconsin being selected over you. Even with your loss this week you're still receiving votes while they're basically off the map. I'm also not 100% sure they win at Purdue. Unreal what a difference a year made for them.
Is that a union thing? I assumed most people were bums like me that hoard vacation time for the end of December. I think my last working day this year is December 20th, which I think is before any of the B1G Bowls would be on.Yeah, some of us dead beats don’t get union hours.
Wisconsin has a bigger draw of a fan base that travel better and bowls will take them over us if they can. Right now they have 4 losses, somehow, so even if they get one more loss, they can still be picked over us.
I thought that Wisconsin should have walked into Indianapolis again undefeated with little to no problem with what they were returning, but honestly, they just sucked. That division didn’t get any better. I was way off about Michigan and Wisconsin/Penn State in opposite ways.
