You’ve rambled on about the Heat while knowing little about them.
Same applies to Whiteside.
He works his ass off.
Thats how he became the only player in the HISTORY of the NBA to go from a min to a max in 1 season.
he is trash his own coach cant find playing time for. He doesnt fit the current NBA. He is a fish out of water- and is a whiner and complainer and grossly overpaid. Hes a cheap shot artist. He was exiled to podunk overseas leagues for being lazy and petulant.

he is everything that is wrong with the NBA and modern pro athletes.

this is a disaster if it happens.

PG: Sexton
SG: Hood
SF: Osman
PF: Love
C: Whiteside

please I want to puke

JR has actually been a pretty good teammate- and hes like top 15 all time in 3 pointers made- and made 2 HUMONGOUS 3 pointers at the beginning of the 2nd half of Game 7 when the game started to get out of hand.

JR has a pass for life after that- at least in my book- and is one of the most prolific 3 point shooters in the history of the league.

12th in 3 pointers made, tied for 174th in 3pt %. Volume shooter.

i wonder if you didnt count LeBron and Deng- if JR has more 3 pointers made than the rest of the lakers roster.

Since the rest of the Lakers roster is averages about 23 years old, is that an accomplishment? He definitely has more games than the Lakers roster combined for not knowing the score in a finals game.

Like that lineup is worse then if you have Tristan at C.
If you recall his competition was Perkins and he still often didnt play.

Whiteside was injured. Everyone involved agrees on that.
Give it a break.

Assuming this is real and actually happens (and putting aside the TT/Whiteside debate), I'm trying to figure out how it makes sense for either team.

Whiteside's talent is undeniable. So are the issues he's had. If he's right in the head, he's shown he can be really good and a player that most teams can't handle in the paint. He's also athletic enough to be able to defend the pick and roll and defend out to the 3 point line.

When he's not right in the head, he's a cancer and a lot of money sitting on the end of the bench, is 2 years older than TT and makes more money.

Theoretically, if a change of scenery is what he needs (especially if they can get a pick as well), the Cavs could win this trade if he can stay engaged, motivated and continues to expand his game.

At this point, TT is what he is. He's a solid veteran player who, when given minutes, will get you some rebounds, play solid defense and even score 8-10 points without having any plays called for him. As mentioned, he makes less money and is younger.

As is, the Heat probably win the trade right now. But is it really by enough to justify the trade? Especially if Whiteside plays the way he did when he earned the raise he got.

i dont think its worth it---

the Cavs need good people to rebuild this thing up with.

honestly it would be just too much for me- the straw that broke the camels back- it would be hard for me to enjoy watching the Cavs with that bloated asshole on the team.

I tend to agree. Given the fact that he makes more and has the same number of years on his contract, I would see it as too big a risk.

Buuuuut, if he plays like he did when he earned that deal, you might have something. But even then, he still has to show that he can maintain it.

I can see why the Cavs would have interest, but if it were me, I wouldn't pull the trigger on it.

Perkins was the only other real C on the Cavs roster
WTF are you high?

Perkins played a TOTAL of 15 minutes for the Cavs last year- he was a non-consideration.

not 15 minutes a game

15 minutes TOTAL. He was not even on the roster most of the year.

Zizic got a million times more run and he barely played. lol.

honestly dude- just gotta ask- since you have unabashedly said Whiteside is better- how could you possibly say the Heat would get the b etter part of the deal?

Obviously I think the Cavs would be getting fucked dry on this deal- but to anyone who said Whiteside is better than Tristan to say the Heat would be getting the better part of the deal - along with a 37 year old Kyle Korver- would just be mindblowingly ridiculous to me.

Because there's a lot more to it than simply being a better/more talented player.

When Whiteside earned the raise he got, we saw what he's capable of when he's healthy and motivated.

Last year, we also so what can happen when he's not healthy and not motivated.

So, if Whiteside goes to the Cavs and is the guy we saw last year, then the Heat win the trade because they got a solid, reliable veteran player who, while overpaid, makes less than Whiteside. He is also going to give them solid rebounding, solid defense and isn't going to be causing problems over playing time or touches.

In short, his value is in knowing exactly what you're going to get from him, every game.

If Whiteside goes to the Cavs and plays like he did when he earned his contract...AND maintains that level, then the Cavs would win the trade and it wouldn't be particularly close, imo.

I agree with this. Just don't see why Miami would do this. They already have a younger and likely better version of Tristan on the team with Bam. No need to get another player with similar skill set....and Tristan is washed and can't get better

I have done my one fantasy baseball league for well over a decade now- and one of my friends that actually livesi n Huntington Beach, asked me to do his league this year.

My old league is roto. Right now I am in first place with 125 points out of possible 130 (13 teams, 10 categories)....the next closest has 90 points. I am DOMINATING. I dont know if any of you guys have ever played roto- but to be at 125 points in August out of 130 is unheard of and will neverh appen again.

the Huntington Beach league i am in, my team is 15-2 and obviously in first place.

I just fucking NAILED the drafts. The Roto is a keeper league where you can keep 8 guys for their previous years' value plus $5 bucks (its an auction league)- and i ended up with Bauer, Verlander, Kluber on the pitching side and Judge, Jose Ramirez, Betts and Carpenter (among others) on the hitting side

in the Huntingting Beach league its a regular yearly draft and i went- Betts/Blackmon/Bregman/Sanchez/Chapman/Diaz/Bauer --- something like that- and traded for Sale eventually.

I am so far ahead of the 2nd place team in both leagues its ridiculous. Unfortunately the head-tohead league is a playoff league so while i have a bye sewn up- i am still far from guaranteed to win- but damn-

i have 2 historically good teams and am just DOMINATING...bot leagues are very competitive too.
