Saw that Caps extension for Wilson, he's a decent enough player but not for that amount or length.

I feel like if I printed out all the posts that have said this the last 5 years on this board I could wallpaper my entire apartment.

I looked at CapFriendly at the other guys making $4.8-5.3 million per and what jumped out to me was that I'd take Wilson over 75% of them and most of them are much older than #43.

No doubt though Wilson picked the right time to be on a Cup champ, have 15 points in 21 games, and show flashes of big jumps in skill and ability this season.

I did enjoy Brouwer while he was here though. Unlike Tom Wilson, he plays tough but knows where the line is. But add him to the list of guys who make in the neighborhood of $5 mil that I'd rather not have compared to Tommy.

Not sure why OTT went as high as $5M tbh. His fancy stats must be off the charts because he traditional numbers don't support either figure. Topped out at 26 goals (and that was 4 years ago).Was a ppg player last year for the first time.

OK $5M might be fair, but he ain't no Wilson.
