So some dude, who I haven't heard of until right now, thinks he can make money off his likeness? lmao.

tbh, it is pretty insane that the NBA and NFL dont get more heat over the fact that they dont have a proper minor league system. I guess it is just easier to point fingers at the NCAA and the univerities than your potential future employer.

I think the NBA is getting their with the G League. Of course there is also the overseas route as well. I honestly think it's more beneficial for the one and done players to do a year in college basketball, because all that exposure could lead to more off the court endorsement opportunities, when they enter the league. Guys like Trey Young, Marvin Bagley etc are household names by the time they enter the league. Going overseas or the G League route could hurt your potentially marketability because of the lack of exposure.

The NFL is a different animal, because the gap between high school and the NFL is the biggest of the professional sports. I'm wondering if a couple of these new start up leagues could potentially serve as a minor league system so to speak. But then again, if you're one of the top high school prospects, would you rather go to USC, Ohio State, Alabama etc, or play in the Alliance of American Football league for example.

The NCAA could force it right now, if they wanted to.

Athletics is "extra-curricular." Just establish a new norm of
needing a 3.0 GPA in HS core courses to receive a college
athletic scholarship to be eligible to play as a frosh.

Then you must maintain a 2.8 GPA in college core courses to
remain eligible. That would wipe out 50% of P5 football and
basketball players. They ould be forced to create a rookie league
for 18, 19 and 20 year olds.

But his statement is so tone deaf, it's hilarious. He's getting a full rude to one of the best public universities in the country. Slaves were picking cotton and chopping tobacco for free while being whipped.

It's like when derptards scream "Nazi" at anyone who disagrees with them.

Umm 17 carries for 37 yards is about 2.2 yards per carry. You are bad at math.
I think those numbers are factored in with QB sack yards loss. Possible? Yes

That’s awful dangerous for the NCAA to do though. They are basically taking their billion dollar product and making it a hundred dollar product if they start wiping out 50% football and basketball players. I can’t see them doing that.

Not bad from a 3 star player with 11 career catches at UT...Why is it always the Ain't shit players talking the most shit?

Sooo, let me break down his little poem that everyone is congratulating him on Twitter, that will probably land his ass off the team and flipping burgers and the local McDonalds...

He said , he dreamed of playing football in front of thousands but it was only a scheme. That minorities were only brought here to fill the white supremacy dream?? Amirite?

And he feels exploited and feels like an animal. Also people are looking for free labor and creative was to make him feel enslaved?? Did I read that right??

I feel dirty for just typing this jackasses words.

Some of these kids needs a good kick in the ass and a dose of reality... And soon as they get it .... they've been taught to scream Racism!!!

As for making money off of his likeness, it's like those who are the reason why thee's no college football video games anymore. Players were getting checks for like 22 dollars. You're not a star player, you're not gonna be getting any lucrative endorsements or selling a lot of jerseys.

Take your free ride and take advantage of the education that your athletic abilities gave you the opportunity to get.

He’s not getting kicked off the team for writing some bullshit poem. Imagine the backlash.

There is an old adage that rings true at every turn...

"If you're 20 and not a Democrat, you have no heart...
If you are 40 and not a Republican, you have no brain."

They say dementia starts setting in around 40. The first sign might be believing in simple minded quips.
