Bad blood with the other team.
Maybe I'm missing something?
Not sure why they'd care if they ended up with bad blood with the other team. These teams are looking to do what's best for themselves and they all know that.
The other team may not like what happened, but it's not likely to stop them from dealing with that team in the future if they have a chance to improve their team by doing so.
I know the Lakers weren't exactly happy that Indiana chose OKC's offer over theirs. But they'd negotiate with them again if they thought doing so could improve the team.
