I'm just afraid that if a redbird takes a giant step he will end up on the DL.

Well, a redbird is a bird that is still learning how to fly because flying while wounded is not an easy thing to do. Once they get well they prefer to perch on the top of a bat which creates the most beautiful uniform in all of baseball.

I love that new avatar but since you live in Georgia how can this be?

steelparrot, Thank you! As one of the newbies here I've got to tell you that your Pirates are one of the biggest success stories of the MLB season so far winning 8 of their last 9 and going to 9 games over .500 as I post this. Congratulations at the 1/4 mark of the season!

Mark, If Tater keeps visiting us here, and I certainly hope that he will, I'm going to do my best to convert him from a Braves fan to a Cardinals fan even though I already know that will be like trying to convert him from a Bama fan to an Auburn fan.

It looks like a short trip to the DL so that issue doesnt come back the rest of the season.

At least we have a legit prospect in Meadows to take his place for a couple weeks.
