if the Celts think they can beat the Cavs by giving horford a ton of touches i will be overjoyed as will the cavsCan Love not pick up 2 quick fouls in Celts go down low to Horford with that intent?
Works both ways.

its not as easy as you think running around pick after pick covering Korver.....hes not going to be an easy guard---- he wil lget taken advantage of defensively- thats for sure--- esp. since the cAvs dont have a legit big that is primarily a defender besides the times when TT is in.Korver isn't beating anybody one on one. I believe if the Cav's threw a 2nd pick at Horford in such a scenario, the C's would merely switch again.
Again, Theis is injured. You're thinking of Baynes... but I get your point.
This one would be a tougher scenario for the Celtics because I think JR could actually break down and create by himself in such an eventuality.
It'll be interesting how the C's decide to use Baynes this series. I'd normally suggest they may try to play him less... but the C's have been hit hard by injuries and have a short bench.
The C's have conducted interesting experiments in the past such as playing Semi Ojeleye at the 5 spot.
Well... I knew said there was.
Cleveland has a great offense with the best player in basketball at the helm. I'm picking y'all to win the series, aren't I?

what if i grow an arm out of my ass and learn how to throw 98 miles per hour fastball and a devastating hammer of a curveball with it?I didnt say a ton of touches.
I say early and often to expose his D and put a couple quick fouls on him.
I highly doubt it will matter.
Just pointing out that mismatches work both ways.
What if Love does get open, but his shot is off and he misses the first few?
Being open at the 3 point line doesnt guarantee points.
Having an advantage a few feet from the rim usually leads to points.

yah if Love shoots like shit its not good.

actually not above- on the GSW thread
NOT the Cavaliers thread. I know how excited you are but- cmon.
I don't necessarily disagree with your overall prediction... I'm at Cleveland in either 5 or 6 myself... however, I think you underestimate how and why the C's are playing well.
A good deal of their effectiveness is precisely because they are amorphous and tough to predict. There is no one or two guys to "key on" and no one or two "bread and butter" plays that a defense can pin down and strategize against.
Rather, you got a team offense where Jaylen Brown goes for 30 one night... Tatum gets a steady 20+ in the flow... Rozier gets his another night... etc., etc.
They're a blob on offense and defense.
No offense taken, I got Cleveland winning too.Yeah I agree there is no one guy to key on but it never works out when you put young guys on Lebron or on the opposing. His IQ is just so off the charts he knows what they do before they do. Point is, it should be competitive but I was more worried about Indiana and Toronto than Boston, no offense, next year they will be the favorite no doubt if healthy
Never suggested it would be easy, what I did say is the C's will throw different angles at this problem including switching off screens with certain line ups...its not as easy as you think running around pick after pick covering Korver.....hes not going to be an easy guard----
Great point. I guess the Warriors finally get a big time scalp if they beat the 65 win Rockets. This is why those who are predicting a Warriors sweep are getting a little ahead of things. Rockets are no joke.
Won't matter though, Warriors over Cavs in 5I hope to hell you are right........ hopefully they get beat up and exhausted at the least......
Then this series favors them since they have HCA. They just have to make sure they don't give up anything at home.Yeah, it's pretty much assumed that the Cavs will get one on the road, because Lebron's teams just seem to always do that.
Yeah, the Celtics are unbeaten at home, but 1-4 on the road in the playoffs this year.
Stop w/ the injury bullshit. Otherwise you better mention that in '15 the Warriors didn't play a single team that was 100% for the playoffs. Of course that's different though right troll?
1st round: Pelicans PG Jrue Holiday was limited to 55 total minutes & missed game 1 because of a right tibia problem.
2nd round: Grizzles PG Mike Conley missed game 1 w/ a facial fracture & Tony Allen play just 5 minutes in the last 2 games because of a hamstring.
3rd round: Rockets didn't having starting PG Patrick Beverly & their back up C. Dwight Howard played the series w/ a torn MCL & torn meniscus suffered in the WCF.
Finals: Cavs didn't have Irving or Love.
Now the Warriors probably would have won it all anyway but the injury bug hit every team they played that year. So shut the hell up.
to a certain extent- but their big men- Theiss and horford- are really not that versatile....not like Thad Young and Turner were for the Pacers
their wings and back court? absolutely
The East is subpar enough if every team is even healthy Injuries to the top teams to challenge LeBron's SuperTeams makes it 1st class PATHETIC
