Tommy John surgery.

This is a pretty big blow to the Dodgers, and he's a guy that will be hard to replace.

Justin Turner had better get back soon. Dodgers are already in a bit of a hole.

Machado landing in LA has to be a virtual lock now

The Dodgers wont punt on the season, and they are in serious trouble now

That's a shame but as a Giants fan I can't say I'm too upset.

I don't know. Machado would be a true rental, because he's pretty adamant that he's a short stop, not a third baseman, and with Seager returning next season, I don't see the Dodgers signing him unless Seager can move to third(I'm not sure of Turner's contract status), and I'd imagine Machado would require a pretty big haul.

At a minimum they need to give Turner whatever steroids Albert Pujols took back in the day to return so quickly from a broken wrist, and that white blond haired dude with a Messican last name might see some extra playing time.

Hoping STL opens the checkbook for Machada and they can move DeJong to 3B which is his natural position. Matt Carpenter at 3B is a friggin joke.

And give me the link where Pujols was juicing....it is all in your mind.

Personally, I think Machado is the biggest crybaby in the game today. Hell of a talent, but I'd hate to be in a position to be forced to pull for him. It's bad enough that Jose Bautista is playing for our AAA team.

And I wasn't serious. I made the exact same comment when Freddie Freeman broke his wrist last season. PEDs aren't a big deal for me, unless it's one of the guys that somehow got a free pass(David Ortiz).

I doubt LA makes a move for Machado anytime soon. That isn't Friedman's style. It would cost them a lot & I don't doubt that the dbacks would join the hunt for Machado to just drive the cost up.

Seager's arguably the best shortstop in baseball. That's a pretty tough one to swallow especially when they're already in a bit of a hole in the division race. I expect them to try to patch that up internally though their in-house options aren't going to come close to replicating Seager's kind of production.

A lot of season to go, but I'd be feeling pretty good about the division if I were a D-Backs fan.

Funny how right after Dave Roberts pops off about winning the division, this news comes.

I don’t believe in karma, but...

I dont know how many teams would pay Machados' price tag, the Dodgers and Red Sox are always the 2 that come to mind, and than there is always that mystery team...I think its gotta be a lock at this point that Machado gets moved this season, and my guess it would only be to a team that could sign him, cause the haul you would have to give up....I could see the Dodgers make the move and worry about the Seager situation when they have to, which most likely wont be until sometime in the middle of 2019

Much like Clemens and Bonds never failed tests officially, there was a lot of smoke. Do you honestly believe Pujols was clean his entire career?

The Orioles should have traded Manny last year. I hope they can work a deal with Dodgers that would most likely be less than market value, but better than having Manny walk at the end of the year for just draft picks as compensation.
