I'd say this is a bad trade for the Rams. Seems like Boston teams pick on LA teams to unload their mistakes on.

I just think the player you drafted in the 1st round would've been far better value than Cooks who just isn't that special at WR. Not special enough to give up having a young player under contract for 5 years at the rookie scale rate.

This is pretty much a wash for both teams:

• Pats gave pick 32 and a 3rd rounder for Cooks last year
• They get pick 23 and a 6th rounder for Cooks this year, and avoid a costly contract extension. I wonder how much the Rams are going to pay him

Cooks got 65 receptions for 1082 yards with 7 TDs last year, a nice contribution.
