Bruce refused to overpay for BB,Long, TM, and Grant and you are still knocking him? wow. Pats need and OLb and will over pay for TM in FA. We have better OLB's than the Pats. We didn't need to overpay for TM.

We have a better QB too. Alex Smith can do no wrong because Bruce Allen ordained him the chosen one for DC because he has had exactly one good season but it was his most recent so he is only getting better and Father Time knows shit.

If Long is so good like you say he is. Why not offer to keep him? We have a need a LG. Why let him out the door? b/c he is average at best and BA knows he will get overpaid. Same with the other two.

1) Bruce Allen is a blithering idiot. He has earned the reputation to question each and every move he makes.

2) You dont seem to understand the concept of market value and how it rises each year due to a rising cap. An above average interior lineman making $8 mill a year 3 years ago would be insane, not in 2018

Long and Lavou werent even playing the same position. He was the starter when healthy at C in 2017 and 2016.

He didnt play much his rookie season in 2014 which is fair because he was coming off a major college injury and he was a mid round rookie.

In 2015 he played LG when Lavou went down and began taking reps at C. The coaches liked him.

As far as doing whatever it takes I would have signed him for $7 maybe even $8 mill annually.... keeping homegrown talent. A versatile player and dim wit he would have been our starting C and Roullier moving to LG.

Roullier is our starting center. They really like him, they are willing To let Long leave b/c he is average at best and will get overpaid in FA. That is why he is leaving. Long was drafted to be our new LG and couldn't handle it. FACT!!!! Had to move to center.

Dude.. the fact that the Patriots are actually interested in Murphy should tell any sane person all they need to know about Bruce Allen and his talent evaluation skills. Or would you disagree that Bilicheck for all his bullshit has one of the best eyes for talent in the NFL over the past 20 years??
