I never understood Auburn's extremely unoriginal nickname......Tigers.....really?

Same as Mizzou, LSU, Clemson, and Memphis.


There should be a rule: each school in a conference must have a unique nickname........

Auburn's nickname should be War Eagles
LSU's nickname should be Bayou Bengals
Mississippi State's nickname should be Hound Dogs or Swamp Dogs



Also.....too many Wildcats - Kentucky, Northwestern, K-State, Arizona

Northwestern should be Lakers
Arizona should be Sidewinders
K-State should be Thunder Cats......or if they get sued by the makers of:

....then how about Twisters or Thunderbolts.

I would have agreed if the original trees were still in place. I always thought it was a cool tradition, if anything because it's so popular now to clear cut 30 acres of cool old trees and throw up 90 cookie cutter houses, but it's lost it's luster in my opinion with the young trees. Probably will be cool in another 100 years.
