Can't really say one way or the other as to how this will turn out. I'll say this....when you're one of the pillar franchises of the NFL, and you go straight into the toilet, it's hard to re-establish yourself. There was a time when guys like Bill Cowher were warning other coaches about the Raiders HC position, telling them to wait for another opportunity rather than destroy your reputation with Al Davis and the Raiders.

Oakland has somewhat returned with Jack Del Rio and the solid young pieces they have on that team, but I'd be afraid if they signed another Tom Cable or some shit like that, they'd be straight to the shitter once again. Jon Gruden is a rockstar coach....a guy that's been coveted certainly by many franchises. His name attached to anything lends credibility, so the Raiders are safe for now.
