That's going to be tough because besides Little League there is the Pony league and in fact my brother liked the Pony League better due to the rules for playing. Not sure but if a team was so far behind like 12 to none - then one of them calls it a shut out and closes the game to save the losing youngsters the embarrassment. Little League and the Pony League has a really tight grip and a huge network already<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL=https://mobile.twitter.com/i/nojs_router?path=/">

Well if they don't start one, - then how are they going to accomplish it? I do like the idea though of perhaps a summer program at each of the stadiums, and getting players and coaches involved on a voluntary basisYou realize they won't be competing with those two right? The NBA isn't trying to start a baseball league.

This could be fun, but my fear is that they are doing this for the wrong reasons. Youth basketball is already too packed with glorified pick up games (AAU) without enough actual substance of time spent working on fundamentals. I think this will only exacerbate that issue for top developing youth players.
If they can manage to keep the relative innocence that is still part of the Little League World Series, it could be a lot of fun.
But I agree, if they're not doing it for the right reasons, it could get real bad, real fast.
Depends on ages too.
For some reason, I doubt it will be 12 year olds. 12 year old basketball isn't that fun to watch. Not like baseball anyway, which can be miniaturized to resemble the actual game.
