Didnt we get the last guy fired, too, or was some other team the one that broke that coach?

College football coach - what a great profession! You could actually get paid millions to NOT come back to work
Ah, ok. That year's MIZ/TEN game is probably one of my 5 most favorite Mizzou SEC games even though both teams were down that year. Blowout loss to Vanderbilt sounds closer to what happened this time.Vince Dooley's retarded son was fired after a blowout loss to Vanderbilt.
The week after they lost to Mizzou.

I remember and I tend to agree that if you're top 5 in recruiting in the nation and you get completely trucked in your division then you should get fired. To be fair, Vandy was a pretty good team in 2012. It was during James Franklin's tenure. They finished 9-4 and ranked, and that's pretty much the ceiling for a program like Vandy.
Derek Dooley was the dumbest hire of all time for a major program. I know hindsight is 20-20, but he had a losing record after 3 seasons at Louisiana Tech, including 4-8 in his last season there before being hired on at Tennessee.

Who replaces him?
Saban? Chip Kelly? Gruden? Jimbo Fisher?
It wasn't the hail mary loss to Florida
It wasn't the 41-0 home loss to Georgia
It wasn't going back to back games without scoring a TD and losing to South Carolina
It wasn't getting their shit pushed in by Bama for the 200th year in a row
It wasn't losing to Kentucky despite out gaining them, winning time of possession and completing a last second hail mary
It was a blowout loss to Missouri that finally did him in.
Really gotta wonder what took so long to finally pull the trigger.
Tennessee is winless in the SEC at a time where the conference is the weakest it has been in a long time.
Jim Bob Cooter.
Book it.
Despite all that, Mark Richt managed to go 5-10 against Tennessee, same record he posted against Florida while with Georgia.
uh, Richt went 10-5 against Tennessee.
