I'm certain none of you would've ever responded if you didn't care at all. Now that I've been proven right so many times you've given up and run out of excuses to make.

You are right, Giannis probably won't average 37 points per game but that doesn't diminish his contribution to the Bucks. Without him they are just average.

I had him averaging 30+ a game so I think 35 is still far exceeding my expectations.

You're earning more respect. Now, eating crow is the next step. Just say GD you were right and I was wrong. GD you're the prophet and I apologize for doubting your greatness. I believe in you and will never doubt you again.
I would say that, but I don't believe in lying.

You were proven right?

Shit, I must have missed that.

Although it's more likely that you're just making it up.

Yes you do or else you wouldn't have said that you don't care because you've posted on here multiple times not after saying that you didn't care but once did care despite the only thing that's changed is that Giannis has continued to dominate as I expected.

It's ok I give you props for at least showing up. The others are to scared to show up or will just continue to make excuses.

Where was the update today guys? I have to do all the hard work it appears.

Giannis with 11 reb 5 ast with 33 points but 0 stl and 0blk but they got the W.

Overall he was slightly below average today on offense but terrible on defense.

Overall Grade C-.

Season averages still slightly better than I projected at 6 games into the season.

Was he actually below average on defense though?

I did not watch the game so I don't know. My bet is that you are assuming he had a bad defensive game because of no defensive stats. Blocks and steals don't tell the whole story there.

Correct, there is no grades for one on one defense that I know of just yet. Yes his stats were a big zero but I only seen the highlights as well. The NBA needs like a pro football focus type of system that grades literally every single play on offense and defense for a player. That would be awesome. Teams would pay insane amounts for those kinds of analytics if they don't already exist.

I know Giannis has an insane PER at 37 right now which is easily #1 and a true shooting percentage that's 7th in the NBA for starters.

Giannis Antetokounmpo shot 11-of-12 inside the paint on Sunday, including 10-of-10 inside the restricted area. Over the last 20 years, the only player to average 20 points in the paint per game over a season is Shaquille O'Neal, who did it four straight seasons from 1998-2002; Antetokounmpo is currently averaging 23.7. (ESPN Stats & Info)

i

He may as well just forget about the mid range and just take wide open three's and continue to dominate the paint.

What I've seen is that Giannis has become an elite finisher. It's one thing to have the size and athleticism, but being able to finish is what will make him great. I agree in that he should forget about midrange shots, if only because mid range shots are the least valuable. All he needs is a set shot 3 pointer and he'll be completely unguardable one on one.

Don't look now but he's at .333 at the three point line now.

He's unarguable right now in transition for sure. If he develops a 3 point shot at 40% that would break the NBA. That's like shaq having a three point jumper and FT shot. That's at least 40 ppg right there. He's at 35 ppg which many don't believe is sustainable but we shall see. I don't think these 6 games are just some magical fluke and as I pointed out last season his first 4-6 game averages were nearly identical to his season averages. Hopefully he will learn to eliminate those mid range 2 point shots as it's the logical choice. Dominate the paint and take wide open three's.

He doesn't need to get to 40%. 35% would be more than adequate, imo. As is 33% is phenomenal considering where he's been at previously.

The real challenge for Giannis is when teams will game plan around him. I can guarantee you right now teams aren't looking two or three games down the road to where they face him and can alter their defensive plans around him. I worry more so in a 7 game playoff series.

If I'm the opposing team, I would use the Russell Westbrook defense against him. Sag off 10 feet and dare him to shoot, and use a hedge defender to cause a double on drives to the hoop. Either force the ball out of his hands or make him shoot long shots. If he drives, always have a secondary defender coming for a hard double. There's no stopping him though in the open court, so you'd just have to take your lumps there.

Giannis had only 28 points 8 reb, 3 ast and a steal but was limited to 28 minutes of playing time because the Bucks sucked today other than Giannis. He just couldn't beat 3 stars by himself. He hit 2 three's on 2/3 shooting and was very efficient but he barely played over 1 half of basketball. He could've easily dropped 50 points tonight. Way to coach them up J Kidd.:L

He could have went for 50...but from the looks of it, it wouldn't have changed the result. Not one single other player in double figures. No reason for him to pad stats if it's not gonna get the team anywhere.

Yep, the team was awful today. No three's and no D. J kidd just doesn't cut it on the defensive side of the ball. He'll probably need a defensive minded assistant coach to help him out. Combine that with Jabari Parker coming back they should be fine. Middleton had the worst game I've ever seen him play.

This thread is basically like an overreaction to every game that Giannis plays. It's incredible.

Don't look now but he's averaging 40% from three point land.

He has now broken the NBA

This really isn't being micro-analyzed enough. Maybe we should have instant analysis about his place amongst the all time greats after every time he touches the ball. Dude's a freak. Bucks aren't that good. He's not enough to make them a contender at this point but he's sure fun to watch.
