Game is tied in the 4th, and you are already firing the manager?

And they are hiring who? Girardi is the perfect manager for the Yankees IMO.

Told the wife before game started , i had no interest in watching game, told her yanks would be lucky if they scored a run! Unfortunately for me we were out in the big C last nite where every place had game on.

Did you really think the yanks had a shot with the road record they had under ritarrdee ? Not a stat guy myself, and I get this team really does not have the experience , but if you have no clue on how to PREPARE your team for the biggest game in their lives, this is result!

Maybe instead of blame, we should tip the cap to a better Astros team and some great pitching. Bottom line is the Astros pitched their way into the WS. Morton and McCullers were fantastic last night.
As for Girardi, I only have one question. Who out there could do that job better? I don't see anyone available out there that could handle the Yankees situation any better than he does.

While I agree a good coach is hard to find, and tough to get a player to listen when the player is making 5 times the money you are making, but there is no excuse for guys getting picked off, players not knowing where a throw should be going , guys running into outs, too much celebrating in dugout when there are more games to be played,' you don't ever want to give fuel to a team when they are down!!!!

Well, in all fairness, most of those things are fundamentals that these kids are supposed to be learning in the minors and the various coaches are the ones who take care of this on the daily basis. Not the manager. AS for the stuff in the dugout, every team does that stuff these days and besides, this team is pretty young. Again, I don't see any of this as Girardi's fault.

its all on him! just like its all on the players! except the players have an excuse. they are young and inexperienced. the home vs away record that's soley on the coach!

MAN!!! i could go on an on, lets talk about ellsbury and how girardi ruined this kid! if anybody on here thinks gardner is a more polished player then ellsbury, u r sadly mistaken. if you think judge is your #2 in line up, imo, u dont know this game! how many freekin times did judge lead off an inning in this series? wtf!!! gardner was what 2 for like what 30? why not try hicks?? not my choice but, but he facked ellsbury for so long... don't get me started....

I am a fan of the game first, I call it as I see it. I want to see a game plan and execution.

Given the season the Yankees just had Girardi's job is safe. Had they not made the playoffs I think he would have got let go.

winner? was somebody picking their nose? fundamentals are NOT learned in the minors, WOW!!! they are learned at every level prior too college, WTF!

in the minors you learn to not get your head taken off by guys who throw 90+ who have no idea where the ball is going, in the minors you learn how to sit on a bus for 7 hours every other week, in the minors you play a greuling 142 game schedule with hardly any days off, in the minors, you get only 12 bats a season, in the minors you live in cities no one has heard of, in the minors you live off of pizza hut, in the minors the chicks are brutal, in the minors the hotels suck, in the minors meal money can't buy you a happy meal..

girardi makes over 5 mill a year, he can make it somewhere else, we need new blood to go along with the youngbloods...

If the Yankees didn't make the post season I'd think he'd be fired but since they made it to 1 game before the WS I think he will be safe for next year.
