for 5,000 yards passing and 34 TD's to 5 picks. the 5,000 yard pace destroys favres by nearly 800 yards.

at age 40.

I'm 41 and I pulled a muscle putting on socks.

I know Brady is possibly the greatest QB of all-time, but you still gotta be impressed by what he's doing. 40 years old and he's playing like he did, if not BETTER than, when he was 30.

i was told he was finished.

He has to be the best protected QB over the length of his career in NFL history. I know he's getting hit more this year, but his protection and quick release have served him well. That said, the hits he's taking this year could change his outlook to play until he's 45 or whatever he claimed.

the quick release MORE than the protection.

i dont understand why people have this narrative that hes always had good lines. i saw a stat the other day that theyve used the 2nd most O-line combinations of any team in the nfl over the last 5 years.

doesnt anyone remember him seeing ghosts and going down untouched?

Quick release and pocket presence, movement in the pocket.

This current line is a sieve. His blind side protection (Solder) is terrible this year.

I remember. It's all about the BB offense combined with Brady's ability to execute it. Everything is quick. The receivers are quick, the passing game is quick, the routs are quick. Yon can't sack a qb that doesn't have the ball.

What's also helped his protection is that he takes pay cuts so the team can get better. Guys like Kirk Cousins and Matthew Stafford are wanting all this money, but where is the team gonna get the money to hire guys to help you? I honestly think teams like the Lions and Redskins are in for a hurt of trouble when they have their franchise QB but no one good enough to protect the QB or for the QB to hand off or throw to. Relying on the draft isn't always the best plan.

And you're forgetting the best example of this. Flacco. Has he ever restructured?

those pay cuts arent really pay cuts, they just defer money. its nice, but he still gets his. not every QB does it tho, which makes him stand out. he does give to add to the team, jst not like our media makes it.

I referenced over the length of his career, and he has had good protection at least at times in the past. It's a combination, along with spending the entirety of his career in essentially the same system under the same head coach. He is the system, and the system is him (not calling him a system QB), but continuity and his timing has been everything.

I have so much respect for Belichick now that I don't even make fun of him french kissing his daughter on national TV anymore.

Should we list significant others' income levels? Brady doesn't need to get paid as long as he's a good boy.
