they were never given a chance. outdated facilities (didnt a chunk of the upper tier fall off once in a game?)

but the expos were beloved up there. eric gagne talked about how it was second only to the habs in eastern canada for popularity.

I imagine they'd have to overpay for players to go there even more than the Blue Jays.

That's the exact article I linked.

Notice the "is" and the question mark in the title of the article. To me, those indicate that it's not "being built" quite yet.
its all but finalized. montreal is getting a team.

its the largest north american city without one.

2nd largest municipality in Canada...

Mexico City has 21 million...

from my link:

THE MBP GOAL
With a metropolitan area population of nearly 4 million people, Montreal is currently the largest North American city without a baseball franchise.

Again, if we're going with metropolitan areas and not just City limits, Mexico City DWARFS every other city on the continent. Somebody should have been fired for that "research."

For the record, I have not said that Montreal is not getting a MLB team. I've questioned the notion that they definitely are because I haven't seen anything that indicates that. I'm a "we'll see" kind of guy.

Maybe they will. Maybe they won't. Frankly, I don't give a fuck.

Man. You're really concerned about the poor baseball fans of Montreal. Very altruistic of you, Rock.
i went to many games. good place to see a game cheap back in the day when the dollar was worth its weight. drove up in college many, many times.
