UPDATE 4:47 p.m, ET: Boyd posted on Twitter on Thursday afternoon. “Everybody chill out i wasn’t present at the crash nor did i have anything to do with it period. It was just my car.”

Too late buddy. You're a Cincinnati Bengal. Any time you f up between now and the time you die, the fact that you played for the Bengals will be mentioned.

If you're remotely associated with someone who f's up. It will be mentioned that you are a Cincinnati Bengal. Hell, you may f up while playing for the Jets. the headline will read "former Cincinnati Bungle Tyler Boyd F's up again."

welcome to mediocrity. you will never wash it's stink off your name.

I wonder if he was benched against the Texans to send him a message. It never made sense that he wasn't active for that game.

I have to say that I was really expecting him to play a big role on our team. I never thought he'd be a number 1 type of receiver, but I thought he would develop into a more reliable Mo Sanu type of receiver - Someone to bail Andy out on 3rd down plays. Hope he gets his head straight.

I think he will help. I think we need to get Cody Core more involved in the offense while Ross is laid up.

So, basically for the rest of Ross's short NFL career?

It's an interesting scenario.

When you are pulled over, regardless of whose car it is, the driver, and/or passengers, is responsible for whatever is found inside the car.

If Boyd really wasn't there, and had lent his car to someone....whatever they find isn't usually attributed to the owner.

I agree...I was expecting a big step up for him this year. Especially since you knew Eifert was going down. Maybe he came into the season thinking it would just happen, and needed this reality check to wake up and start working harder. Who knows...

As for the drug thing, as I said, it'll be interesting to see it play out.

Probably. Ross is so damn fast and he just looks like he has another speed that no one else plays at. Granted, at that speed and size, colliding into LB's could cause balls to pop out frequently.

If he could become a legit deep threat, along with reverses, kickoffs and punt returns, he is supersonic. Just not sure he will be able to stay healthy and hold on to the ball when you have collisions with guys nearly twice his size at the speed he is running.

Yeah, the drug charge doesn't really bother me. I'd wager that a big percentage of the league is using maryjane and I can't blame them. And irresponsibility is not a killer - Happens to a lot of young guys..... This is hardly a felony offense. But I'd like to see him start to show on the field. Maybe this is a wake up.

Defending this POS? Come on, man. He's a thug. The NFL and it's entire culture is a blight on society. It's really enough already. For every Peyton Manning there are 100 Pacman's.

We're supposed to believe Boyd didn't know who he was loaning his car to and what they were doing with it? Give me a break....

I find it hard to criticize the players for weed when the whole damn league smokes it.... They know when the testing happens, so it's a joke. The excuse that he had nothing to do with it doesn't hold any water with me.

And lets leave Peyton Manning out of it.... Guy should have been brought up on charges as a college kid. He was no angel.

I am interested to hear about the Peyton Manning story as I have never heard anything. *anxiously awaits the story*
