Elvis and DDJ are definitely two positives to take away from 2017.

I just hoping that Odor is having a bad year. If his BA is right at .200 after the first month of next year he should be sent to AAA till he figures it out.

This is two games in a row where everything the Astros have hit, has found a hole. Grant ya they've hit some hard too, especially last night. But today's first half inning was absurd.

The only reason we were in it this season is due to the piss poor play in the AL.

And I'm assuming you'd be fine with DDJ playing center next season since he needs regular time at LO? If so, we'll put together the worst OF in the AL if not all of baseball.

Have you really paid attention at what a disastrous season Odor put together? And Mazara "patrolling the outfield." Where'd this come from? He is at the very best and avg corner OF.

I was trying to be funny when I said patrolling the outfield. Odor played exactly like his name this year. He fucking stunk in every facet of the game except for maybe hitting the long ball. I was advocating for the team to bring up profar and play him at second base for the month of September for one last chance to " see what we got", but it appears profar is a goner via trade and it's already been determined. I wish we would've given profar a fair shot at an infield position, but it never seemed to happen. The Rangers organization fell in love with odor for reasons that don't pertain to his on field performance mainly things like really good club house fit, designated cooler dumper with Elvis, and the infamous Bautista punch. That seems like the only logical explanation for him having second base locked down.

If the front office has given odor the long term gig at second base because of his "performance" that is a scary sign and it makes me worry about other player evaluations in the future by the Rangers brain trust.

I doubt we have enough money or trade offers to do what needs to be done 2018. Martinez AJ Choo Gomez Odor Nap Rua on and on are what we could offer and I don't see much coming back. Nobody wants these problems either. So do we have the money?

I don't see us fixing what needs to be fixed in one off season.

I'd assume we are still hamstrung with the combination of Choo, fielders insurance, and Andrus's contract

Odor has a very reasonable contract, all things considering.
It is not the contract that will be the problem with trading him. It is everything else about him. No team looking at him would expect the Rangers eat a huge portion of the contract and take little if anything in return

Just watched Calhoun's HR - loved his trot. Head down, get around quick.
