Why would you have them high when they don't have their starting QB? Also what's better about their loss?

Much like Bama, I don't think their QB needs to be a game changer. Francois was good, not great as a Freshman IMO. And they lost to a better team IMO and played more competitively, and weren't playing at home like Ohio State was.

So a wider margin of loss along with holding a lead for all of 2 minutes means they were more competitive? Also, what have you seen from Alabama that would lead you to believe they're better than Oklahoma? I'm fairly certain you were one of many people on here who was criticizing OSU up and down for their 28 point win over Indiana on the road, yet an 18 point win over Colorado St. at home is acceptable?

Please learn to look past just the box score. FSU was more competitive. Meaning they weren't outgained by 140 yards at home to OU like Ohio State was. And I didn't think Ohio State looked good against Indiana. They were trailing mid-way through the 3rd quarter, they turned it on after that. Bama was up by 4 TD's at the same point in the game against Colorado State. And there isn't much difference between Colorado State and IU.

LSU has won 1 game against an FBS team, that team is winless against the FBS and coming off a blowout. Their best loss is a blowout against a team that doesn't crack your top 20. Please explain

They are a top25 team.

I'm not even going to bother looking at your top25, because I already know it's crap.

What makes them a top 25 team when their best win hasn't proven to be competent and their best loss isn't a top tier team or a competitive game?

LSUs resume is on par with Iowa states...

Competitive means there's actually a question as to who is going to win. I find it funny that you tell me to look past the box score and then support your argument with a stat that comes straight from the box score. OSU had the lead two different times in the 3rd quarter; FSU had 1 lead the entire game and it was a couple minutes into the 2nd. Bama then took it back quickly and it was over.

When the game was actually over, OSU won by 28 while Bama won by 18. And yes, there's a huge difference between a 6-7 team from arguably the best division in college football and a 7-6 team from a division where New Mexico finished 2nd. I know you can get a little irrational in our conversations but that one was pretty stupid.

Not sure about FSU - last I heard they have their backup playing the rest of the year. I am OK I guess with them hovering Top15 for now. Their defense is sick and makes me very jelly in terms of VT's recruiting losses the last 5+ years. Also not sure about Auburn. To me they are playing as a Top 25-30 team right now and Miss State should be ranked ahead of them.

It doesn't take long to see that LSU should not be a top 25 team. 1 passing TD in 3 games? Holy hell, that's worse than Florida. I think it's fair to wonder if they'll even make a bowl game this year. I don't see 4 more guaranteed wins on that schedule.

It's week3.

They have a ton of talent. Even with the loss LSU took, they aren't likely to lose more than 4 games on the year.

You can sit here and use things like "resumes" and other methods to ignore information, and maybe even convince yourself that Iowa St and LSU are equal because of "resumes". But I think that's pretty stupid and I call it like I see it.

You don't rank the team that lost to your #12 team by 7, but you do rank the team that just got BLOWN OUT by your NOW #21?

And damn you for making me defend WVU. I feel gross.

I would never in a million years decide my rankings by the transitive property.

That's fine, because what I said isn't the transitive property.

I was talking about the actual box score, quarter by quarter score then the final. OU was better against Ohio State than Alabama was against Florida State IMO. Plus OU had to do it as a road game. And the only thing irrational is you not adding any context to a score. I mean it's pretty ridiculous you're going to hold it against a team when the outcome has been decided. And no, there isn't much difference between IU and Colorado State, but I'm not surprised you're suggesting otherwise.

If A > B, and B > C, then A > C Is the transitive property

Ranking LSU, who has no good wins and was blown out by a team the jury is still out on is a logic fail.

Ok, I don't base rankings based on single games, nor do I base my rankings based on the ranks of other teams.

.....even though it was 100% the transitive property.

You are comparing 2 transitive properties against each other.

@VFL1995 Hey buddy! I gotta hear how you've come to the conclusion that Penn State should be ranked ahead of Oklahoma State. Hit me up!

btw, if that game was an accurate representation of Miss St and LSU as some of you are trying to claim, then the problem isn't that I have LSU ranked too high, it's that I have Miss St ranked too low.

Personally, I don't think LSU will play that bad all year, nor do I think Miss St will play that well.

Because Oklahoma St is a Big12 team.
