Baker Mayfield, after three games, is by far the best QB in the nation.

Game 1 against UTEP 19/20, 329 yards, and 3 TDs. Rating 282.7
Game 2 against OSU 27/35, 386 yards, and 3 TDs. Rating 198.1
Game 3 against Tulane 17/27, 331 yards, and 4 TDs. Rating 214.8

He is also yet to throw an INT.

Mayfield has thrown for over 1,000 yards, 10 TDs, 0 interceptions. He is also 3-0 with a win against the #3 team in the nation. Rosen isn't close to that.

Although I agree with your comment I believe we are all aware that Cousin's not being here next year is a possibility. It is human nature and for some folks what they love about sports .... getting that next great shiny penny.

Naw, but ya gotta admit that talking about who we should get before the second game of the season is a bit premature. Hell, there's been an active discussion about tanking the season. While my mood is consistently upbeat, that shit is a bit annoying! Self inflicted?? Yes, of course, but that's the curse that comes from being a voracious reader!

I didn't think this was a thread on who we should get. I think it is a discussion of who will be available because we will take a QB in he first two rounds.

Yeah, you might be right about that, but I'm not sure that we have seen the depth to which Bruce Allen will go on this. There's still the possibility that all this Kirk talk is just that and Bruce will repeat what been done for 3 seasons going. (2 if you just count the tagging sagas)

How many here or anywhere are confident based on history, that Bruce won't tag Kirk again and when it comes to what appears to be a very deep draft, say......"pass!" Then draft another Sudfeld in a much later round? We have history on this, I'm not saying that it is wrong to speculate, just a bit premature, but hey, it's social media, people do what they do. This is just my personal reaction to what's being done.

I'm hoping that you're right, but alas, two years running with Bruce making the calls, gives me NO confidence in us drafting a QB.
