The 90s never happened.
Oh I never bring that shit up about the 90's or # of SBs, ever. I just find it funny when others go back, just not quite that far. you know because there is such a difference apparently

IMO there is no chance he is granted a TRO. The Brady ruling made that a lock. You have to remember this is not about guilt or innocence. The judge's opinion if he thinks Zeke got screwed or not is irrelevent. He has to rule on the fact that the league followed the appropriate rules. That is all.
I think the TRO will be granted, now beating the NFL that's another story. I'm just hoping the courts say even with all that power the NFL needs better proof of wrong doing in what should be a legal case. For strickly NFL matters the NFL should be allowed full leway, in legal matters they should have to follow legal rules.

Yes before all the NFL CBA gives power to Goodell statements, I know about Article 46. I just dont fully agree with it.

I find it funny when others do it. However....That number is kind of small actually. I live in Texas and know a large number of Cowboys fans and I rarely hear the "How many Superbowl's have the Eagles won" statement. To be honest the only people that do it are whiny petulant fans that can't handle it when their team sucks. In my military days I was friends of fans from many teams and none ever said it to be honest. I actually only see it on message boards.

Ahhhh reminds me of Sox fans that ONLY talk about the "Last Decade"....of course when discussing titles, the late 90's dynasty is older than Jesus, but 2004 and 2007 feel like yesterday

Maybe it'll be held off for 5 years so he can miss the playoffs when they finally get there again.

Yep, I've learned long ago the only history that matters is that which helps their argument.

I'm guilty of MLB history cherry picking, but only the 2017 ALCS.
I've never denied the Yankees 27WS wins.

Cowboys are one of the worst teams of this millennium. Fact.

And I never bring up the 27WS

I witnessed the late 90's dynasty right in the prime of my youth, so I only lay claim to those years as a fan

I disagree on this. The courts are not going to even mention guilt, innocence or evidence. The NFLPA's request for a TRO is based only if the NFL followed the proper rules when handing down the suspension. They did not argue guilt, innocence or evidence. Then you have the Brady ruling. There is already a precedence when Tom Brady' s suspension was reinstated. Brady's suspension was overturned based on the things you guys are arguing. The Judge disagreed with the facts found and disputed whether crime fit the punishment. In fact this is the judge Zeke really wanted to hear his request for TRO.

In the appeal of that ruling the ruling was vacated and the suspension reinstated. The ruling was that Goodell was allowed to discipline and followed the rules in the CBA. It was not about guilt or innocence, right or wrong, eviidence or no evidence. He had the right to do so based on the CBA.

Yes before all the NFL CBA gives power to Goodell statements, I know about Article 46. I just dont fully agree with it.

I agree. I think it is flat out stupid to give one person this much power.

Just so the rules are clear, please remind me how far we are allowed to go back when bringing up SBs and not criticized for bringing up the past. So the year 2000-2001 is OK based on the above, but mid 90's aren't? Or is it 3 years? 5 years? :L

IMO the only thing that matters is last year and that's barely even pertinent once the new season starts

Eli didn't win a SB in 2000-01.

It's a stupid discussion to have but if there needs to be some sort of parameter I would put it at 3-5 years. In my opinion that's the time frame in which most teams turn over its roster significantly enough where you could consider it a "different enough" team that makes their SB win irrelevant in a present day discussion.
