That year Hawaii and ND.It was 2011 the home and home with Syracuse was following a home and home series with Ohio State.SC plays a 3 game OOC schedule every year.Notre Dame which is the yearly OOC rivalry.They play Notre Dame and UCLA back to back every other year.Its how SC's schedule is structured.One mid major and one Home and home or neutral site game with a P5 opponent.Along with a 9 game conference schedule

What I believe @The Oldtimer is saying is.USC plays Notre Dame every year.As Florida plays FSU every year. But SC also schedules home and homes where they travel with teams i.e. Ohio State..... Where Florida plays 4 OOC games that tend to include two to 3 mid major/fcs teams at home.Its not so much the scheduling of the rivalry games.As the scheduling of the remaining OOC games. They technically could play a home and home with SC and not drop the rivalry game with FSU

Yes and the SC schedule is structured. To play both conference rival UCLA and OOC rival Notre Dame back to back every other year.Along with their other two OOC games one being a mid major.The other being another P5 team.

and you play in the pac 10.. not exactly the most robust power 5 conference.. it boosts your ( pac 10ers) SOS playing us (SEC).. not necessarily the other way around.. unless 5 of of your conference is ranked 10 or higher.. with as bad off as ND is right now.. they don't add any benefit to your sos.. we play smarter not harder..

SC hasn't played in the PAC 10 in years. They are also one of three teams that have never played an FCS opponent. The others being UCLA and ND. Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking Florida. I actually want them to beat Michigan and wouldn't mind them winning the SEC. But I would like to see a series with SC and Florida. And there's really no reason they can't play a home and home. Would be a hell of a series for the fans imo
