A person that beats on women cannot grow out of it. They have to accept that they have a problem and have the desire to change. They have to be willing to go to counseling to work on facilitating that.

That's a solid point... along the same level as an addict. If the individual isn't amenable to change, then it doesn't matter what "counseling" is available.

One that's an assumption and two I don't know if you do. But, Perhaps you missed where I wrote "other infractions". i was very careful to word it that way. Don't twist what I said. I purposely left that out of my statement

I'm not trying to twist your words around, just pose a legit question. If he truly is a woman beater (which right now, we can only assume one way or the other), can he simply grow out of it? It seems like the answer to that is "no" but I don't know. Plenty of people who have been violent (including, violent toward women) have turned their lives around . . . but I feel like they usually need to recognize that there's a problem and commit to changing it.

If you really want to have this discussion, the answer is of course he can. But as you pointed out it isn't easy and there are often two very common triggers; an internal anger and propensity to violence or impulsivity that must be dealt with and/or alcohol. I don't know if Zeke hit her and if he did why. But everyone can change. However, none of that is pertinent here as this is a discussion going backwards, not forwards. If he hit her he should be punished. If he didn't he shouldn't. i'm not predicting what may happen in the future. The discussion towards growing up in this thread related to the other "issues": who he hangs out with, where he goes, pulling down women's tops, speeding, punching or not punching DJs, etc...all these things are easily changed if you want to and decide to "grow up". Now that he is on the NFL's radar he needs to watch his step.

but so is assuming that Elliott's accuser is lying just because there's proof she lied before. But whatever you guys have to do to rationalize your support for a guy who beats up women.
It's not stupid. We are allowed to be skeptical of the victim in question when they have proven to have lied before, have tried to convince friends to lie for them, have played the race card against the defendant, has blackmailed the defendant, and threatened to ruin the defendant's career. Both parties are skeptical at this point. Nobody knows the truth. And nobody will support Zeke if the truth comes out that he did it. Stop saying Cowboy fans are supporting a woman abuser when it hasn't even been proven yet. It is all pure conjecture.

I'm not sure where you're from but in NJ, PA, and NY there are virtually no "good" Cowboys fans. If you're from this area and like the Cowboys, pretty much guarantees there is something wrong with you.
Says the person that generalizes an entire fan base. Something is definitely wrong with you. I don't think all Eagle fans are bad. I think most of them are good fans contrary to popular belief. You, on the other hand, are a piece of shit.

The NFL stated they "interviewed dozens of witnesses, reviewed hundreds of text messages and social media communication" before coming to their decision.......I agree the total truth may lie somewhere in between, but I find it hard to believe they didnt come up with some strong circumstantial evidence, at the least
I was going to point out before that this is wrong but thought it was minor, it may just be a mistake on your part.
The NFL said they interviewed over a dozen not "dozens". Interviewed dozens means at 24 or more, maybe the NFL interviewed 23 maybe not, but in that over a dozen most likely includes the cops and DA, so it's quite possible the DA had talked the every person the NFL did.

In any relationship that has been ongoing for several months to several years to a lifetime, a man and a women quickly learn what can set the other person off in anger or frustration or elation. When there's a disagreement, the first reaction of men is silence and the need to be left alone. if a woman doesn't respect those, then the disagreement can escalate to screaming. Generally the man will give the woman a verbal warning.....
"get out o0f my face" "leave me the fuck alone" "Knock it off, just shut the fuck up"

This where many women feel that they've gotten the upper hand and decide it's time to twist the dagger. They get right a guy's face and start sticking a finger in his chest repeatedly to prove that she's the winner. A left hook or right cross end the entire discussion because one person is no longer able to speak.

What's the result??? Peace and quiet....................followed by an arrest and court.

Problem is that no matter how severe the argument was prior to the punch, there is no equality in court. The man is bigger, physically stronger and the woman is the victim. Then she realizes that her prime source of a life beyond a studio apartment and a job 40 hours a week at $12 is about to send her ass packing. So she decides not to press charges, cuddles up and drains his manliness and things return to normal until the next time. Then it gets out of hand the fourth or fifth time and he really beats the shit out of her and it's a major news story, lawsuits etc........

No matter what........whether she presses charges or not, the court should immediately issue a restraining order that does not allow either party to contact each other or get within 100 feet of each other for 6 months. If either party violates the order, it's 6 months in jail. No chance for a second encounter, he'd most likely find another woman and she'd most likely find another man.

This is why "Equality" is pure bullshit. Women want to be equal to men in all but a select few things. They get to choose where the "Equality" line is drawn. You want to be equal, be equal in all things, not just a few.

Is E$E guilty? I've one or two things that say yes and a couple of others that say no. I'm sure that there must be something but no one can say for sure except EE and the woman. Let's be 100% honest.........One of them is a liar.

Ezekiel Elliott Parties on Boat on Cowboys' Off Day Amid Suspension Appeal

He does not seem to realize he needs to not put himself in situation where he could get in trouble. Granted nothing happened here but come on dude.....wake up....

I know that some Cowboy fans may start bashing me and calling this hate but one of the Cowboys biggest apologists (Skip Bayless) even has a problem with this.

Holy Shit. This M'Fer was on a boat with women in bikinis? We should just shoot him. If he actually had sex with one of them later that night instead of going to Church and praying we should cut his balls off.

Listen to yourself PhillyGreen. This is friggin ludicrous. Just post "Go Eagles" and be done with it. Maybe it's his sister or his girlfriend or just good friends. What did he do wrong? He can't go to a bar or you will criticize him for that, so he goes out with friends on a boat to relax and you want to criticize him for that too? were there drugs? Excessive drinking? Was there a fight? Were they driving aggressively or blasting music at an obnoxious level? Please just tell me what he did wrong. Would it have been better if the girls were fat and in two-pieces?

I don't think we should expect him to become a choir boy. If he went out on a boat with friends and did nothing wrong, why should anyone get too upset about it? Would it be better for him to lay low while the suspension appeal is going on? Probably -- but I'm not going to blast him for going out on a boat with some friends.

I'll agree with the bolded. As for the justification of striking a women I'll disagree.

Of course a Cowboys fan would not see the real issue. This shit keeps up and Elliot will be the next Johnny Manziel.

I actually don't see anything wrong with Zeke partying. However......he has a pending appeal coming up and he seems to be a magnet for issues at public events. My point was.....keep your ass at home until the hearing is over. Don't give the NFL any more ammunition.

In the grand scheme of things, I'm not sure it matters if something happens now or happens a few weeks from now or a few months from now. He's either going to behave better or he isn't. Regardless of when the next situation arises, he will be subject to penalty for it. Obviously the more time between now and the next incident helps him, but until he's gone a couple years without getting into any trouble, he will be in Goodell's cross hairs.

Bull Shit. You are the one that's biased here, not me...and who says he is "partying"? He was on a boat with friends. I hope he wasn't playing any of that Rock-n-Roll devil music:lol:

There is unfortunately a good chance Zeke is going to be punished for a "minor infraction" in the future. Fair or not. Sadly he is in a strange way kind of lucky that Goodell closed the book on all the other stuff. He could have said we aren't looking at those issues yet, handed down this penalty, went through the appeal and then opened an investigation on those cases and using "progressive discipline" as his excuse punished him severely for those incidents. Not saying it would have been fair, but the CBA would have allowed it.
