ANd the pregnancy (if it isnt a lie) of Cersei is troubling for the TELEPORTATION vs "Months of Marching offscreen" debate.

Jamie knocked her up then proceeded to march on highgarten, siege the place, march back, get attacked, and find his way back on foot to Kings Landing.

Cersei (if pregnancy lasts 9 months in Westeros) should be visibly pregnant in that scene if not soon.

And at the very least, if Jamie goes marching on some northern campaign.....the next scene should have the kid being an infant. But, it will only be a barely pregnant Cersei.

I bet she just kept his cum in a jar and then poured it down her snatch when she wanted to get preggers.

How do we know he knocked her up before going to Highgarden? He had been back for some time before she told him she was pregnant.

Any chance she's faking to control Jamie?

yeah, that is a problem. Jon Snow was not just rowing across a lake, he was rowing out to a ship and the ship was taking them back north, and then there would be rowing from the ship back to shore again. Then instead of getting back and having some scene finding out what happened while he was gone, (how he might be losing his place) it was just open the gate and go out to catch a dead soldier. Just too rushed.

As far as the dead army, I am sure its a huge cg budget hit to watch those masses moving, but they are always moving. They showed the preview that they start fighting, so it either means they are not that far away, or that they walked for weeks before getting there, so returning should have them all following.

And We understand there is little time left. So, we just have to accept some of the silliness now.
This. Every season has been too short. And it's worse now. It's this or nothing. The time jumping isn't a season 7 problem, it's a series problem and it's just rearing it's head now. And it's all we have since the books won't ever be finished.

I'll be out of town this weekend on vacation so I broke down and watched the leaked info on next weeks show that was posted like a month ago. I mean I'll still watch it before the finale, but at least I won't have to worry about hearing about any of it from family or friends. 7/7 is setting up to have the potential to be by far the most epic season ending episode in show history. I'm sure we won't like at least one aspect of whatever cliffhanger they leave us with (No, I have not seen anything about that episode or how we will be left), but I have high hopes they deliver on the entertainment value over the next 152 minutes of show.

Episode 6 runs 71 minutes.

Episode 7 runs 81 minutes.

That last one is darned near feature movie length.

So whats the speculation on the note Little Finger received?

And did he swap the real note with a different one for Arya to find?

I think the legit scroll he was looking for is an old old one stating that Rhaegar and Lyanna got married. That makes Jon the rightful heir. This hurts Littlefinger's plot to use Sansa since it severely weakens her position.

I think what Arya found was a plant by him.

Definitely an episode that got the plot moving fast. They are really rushing to end game at this point.

Can anyone explain to me what the fucking rush is?

I can't imagine HBO is saying "alright guys, you know this wildly popular show we're doing? We gotta wrap this shit up pronto."

I've wondered the same thing. I'm sure there's a reason, but I don't know what it is.

I paused it, you can read a little, but it was from Sansa to Rob, asking him to bend knee to Joffrey was my take (it cuts out part, but you can make out Joffrey and some other stuff, and your loving sister Sansa)

LIttle finger is trying to divide Sansa/Arya

Because they committed to staying true to the books (that's why they got the show in the first place), and also because it's already the most expensive TV show in history.

They're going to spin it off apparently, but I'd imagine that sequels will be much less ambitious expense wise.

It's certainly not HBO rushing it... over two years ago HBO said they wanted at least 10 seasons. However, the showrunners Weiss and Benioff wanted to keep it to seven seasons. Apparently six to eight seasons is generally considered the maximum range for TV drama series longevity... even a very popular series. Supposedly going longer than that creates the risk of the show losing steam and becoming stagnant. The first linked article gives a couple examples.

HBO’s “Game of Thrones” will go at least eight seasons and could even get a prequel

The three (The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager) very popular Star Trek series of the late 80s to 2000 all ended after 7 seasons.

The very popular ABC series Lost lasted 6 seasons, and some folks say that was too long.

To be fair, Lost was kinda screwed because the writers strike hit in S2 and show was kinda on its heals after that. They were really lost until they decided it would end after S6 (I think they decided this during S4) and then the story tightened up with a true outline to work from.

I think most serials need this kind of structure, and that is hard to establish for first or second year shows. They are too busy just trying to survive to look big-picture. GoT and TWD came in with an already proven outline to follow, so they really had a leg up.
