Cal and SEC East has the toughest schedule...

Cal has UNC and Ole Miss + the Pac 12 schedule.

I'd think playing Bama, Florida, Clemson, Louisville, Miami + the rest of the ACC would be harder.

Rutgers Montana and Fresno
Colorado depending on how much they drop.
Oregon State Cal and AZ St who people don't expect much from
UCLA and Oregon who people are expecting some sort of bounce back but exactly how much is tbd
Stanford, Utah and WSU who you expect to be solid to good but not necessarily great.
so its predicated on a few teams hopefully being good?
I was poking a bit of fun, but of course you go all serious and obsessive.

UW isn't in as shit of a division as the others leading the softest schedule. It's no more difficult than that to understand. Everyone hates our OOC schedule and have been bitching about last year and this year since they were released back when Sark was still here. There is nothing that can be done about it. They have Auburn, Michigan, and more meat in general in future seasons. That's really all they can do.

Rutgers has Washington, Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State next year, that's four top ten teams from last year. Plus Nebraska was close to being ranked.

I'm not buying Penn State this year. But the other three are definitely top 10 material

lol @ UF, UGA, and Sakerlina being in there. They play in the sec east. Give me a fucking break already.

Georgia's schedule doesn't strike me as tough. I guess Notre Dame could have a big time bounce back season, but even still, I'll likely be picking Auburn as my overrated team for the season and Georgia Tech is replacing the best QB in the history of the triple option.

Oregon's is even worse next season. but that is Texas A&M's fault. they pulled out of an 18, 19 deal

Just so I'm understanding this correctly -- you guys are arguing over imaginary rankings and imaginary SOS BEFORE anyone has played a single game.

Ask ND, Michigan State, Tennessee, Stanford, etc. how accurate those are. They were preseason "Top 10 Teams" last year.

B1G in the college playoffs the past 2 years has lost cumulative score 0-69.
The B1G East went 0-5 in bowl games last year.

So much hype so little result.

And this is why I laugh when Iowa starts 5-0 and their fans on here start mixing up the kool-aid

Iowa hasn't started 5-0 in almost 2 years. Get over yourself bandwagon.

Could definitely see Clemson having a down year compared to their last few years. No Deshaun, but that team still has alot of really good players.

Yes 2015 (2 years ago) you started 12-0, thought you had a legit shot at doing something special and got blasted by a Pac 12 team in the Rose bowl. Last year you lost to NDSU. No need to get your jimmies all rastled

Shouldn't teams like Mercer count against SOS?

I don't remember if it was this year or last that was the second leg of the H/H we had scheduled with Wisky that got cancelled when their conference realignment happened, but that's a common thing. It's easy to bash teams for not having stronger schedules, but once a high value team backs out there generally aren't high value teams left to take an opening. These things are planned out many years ahead.

I really don't care why we have shit OOC games. I still have to pay for garbage tickets either way. There's no such thing as parity or equality in college football as it is so I'm not all that worked up over those implications.

Which is why I pointed out the absurdity of Oregon and UCLA being ranked in the top 25 after winning only 4 games last year.
