Don't hold back ... tell us how you really feel.

Aggy fans are always like this.......they can NEVER see the trainwreck coming, even if they're on the tracks, and looking at the train coming straight at them.

They rank 114 of 119 in returning talent.......they play in the SEC West.......they are breaking in a new QB, with a new OL, DL, and LB core all at the same time.

They are screwed.

All Texas A&M has to do is win a few games early on and the CFP committee with rank them in the top 4 when they release their first poll of the season.

Every year.......which is why they load up on cupcakes early. Then October comes.......and we all know the results

A few of these are a tad bit wrong. Like MSU, they have Dantonio as a 1. I'd at least put him in the 2-3 range. No way a coach can go 3-9 this late in his career at a program and be totally good, especially with all the criminal stuf that has come out this spring/summer. If MSU were to fail to make a bowl again, I suspect his seat would be extremely toasty at MSU.

More than a few are wrong, but Dantonio is not one of them. He is well respected and has brought MSU to a new level. 2 bad seasons won't do it. That guy has a long leash, because he deserves one. Even if, this is the start of his down fall.

which is why there's not a ton of heat after one really bad season, but it's hard to argue that he is "safe and secure" vs. "all good, for now" or "Pressure is mounting". If he doesn't go to a bowl, there will be a significant portion of his fanbase calling for his head (a smaller, but significant, percentage already has been after this year). I think his past successes buy him one 3-9 season but not two. Coaches who are "safe and secure" didn't just go 3-9 and expel 5 of his best players from the 2016 class for raping people.

No offense, but I don't see what makes the SEC West so scary. Neither Mississippi school is particularly threatening right now. Arkansas only plays football after Halloween. LSU is becoming a perpetual talented, but under-performing team. Auburn is an enigma rapped inside a riddle. Bama is Bama. The West wasn't scary last year. LSU and Auburn can make it scary, but I wouldn't bet on Coach O. Every year is different and things change fast, but based on last year the West is just another division in football.

All that may be true......but aggy is still bringing in a new OL, DL, QB, LB core......and they don't have Garrett to rely on for a pass rush.

They will still score points with the offense......but the defense will be GAWD AWFUL. They will get run over every single game. I have serious doubts they can rush the passer or lockdown WRs either.

They're still screwed. They also don't have enough depth to handle injuries in a lot of key areas.

Sumlin making it through this year will be a minor miracle. It's not a given they beat either of the Mississippi schools, or Auburn, they've never beaten LSU, Bama will destroy them, and Arky will give them a good test.

It's possible, not probable, but possible they don't win a single SEC west game.

They say Harsin @ Boise is safe and secure.
They should check with their fans, cause they are not happy.

Harsin is a great OC and he has done ok as a HC considering he has had 3 OCs and 2 DCs in three years. Last year was a shit show with the 2 co OCs and then Harsin calling plays also..

Definitely a historical (or hysterical) track record to support your theory.

I'd say he's gone already.

But, you land thieves took his only viable replacement so tech may be stuck with coach GQ.

Sumlin's chance to save his job was last season. His defense had some NFL talent, including the #1 over all pick. He had a veteran QB, and the SEC west wasn't too strong. This season is a rebuilding year for a&m, so Sumlin needs a miracle to keep his job. If SMU is half way decent, Chad Morris will be in college station by December 1st.

I keep hearing that, but I wonder. It is unusual for teams to fire offensive coaches and higher an offensive coach. I know Morris is part of the cult, but I wonder if the Admin says we need someone who can field a competent defense

Problem is how many "hot" coaches out there are defensive minded?

Good point. Didn't work out too well for Manny Diaz at Texas and he was a "hot" defensive minded coach.
