Serious question, or sarcastic question?

Serious, why do we care about trying to win games at this point? Some of the decisions Bochy's been making seem pretty curious if he's trying to win. Such as playing Hill in the first place.

IF Hill is on the roster, I understand him playing tonight. That is fine.

My objection is to the very fact that he is on the roster.

If the Giants are trying to win, he doesn't belong anywhere near the field.

If the Giants are going young (read "tanking"), he doesn't belong anywhere near the field. Play kids to determine if they deserve a spot in '18+.

I just don't understand his role on this team.

Edit: Why the f does my auto correct change "is" to "isn't"??

Don't look now, but the 8th/9th next year MIGHT be dominant with Smith/Dyson/Melancon...

Cut Hill now.

Tough play, granted, but again, why is he here?

Outside of his first outing, which was basically just a test drive, Dyson has looked great.

He just needed a change of scenery, it looks like.

Very unlikely we will see Crick tonight, but I am excited to see him pitch...

Why was Gearrin in for 2 innings? Testing him, I guess?

Is an extra inning game the right situation to test that kind of ability?

He's playing to prove his trade value.... which is dog shit..... so I'm not sure why they are bothering.

I feel like we've been saying/hearing "change is coming" after every friggin game for weeks now.

To be fair, there has been quite a bit of change...

Marrero gone.
Stubbs come and gone.
Ruggiano come and gone.
Arroyo cuppo.
Slater cuppo
Stratton with time
Law sent down.
Dyson brought in.
Mac got time.
Crick soon to get cuppo.
Moronta called up (for a day).
Upton brought in (than injured).
Blach added to rotation.

That is a rather active transaction line.

And seriously thinking about this, I would rather see Hwang added before Jones. Let's see if he has anything to add to an MLB roster. If he fails, so be it.

IDK, I don't think it's very likely he even opts out at this point. He's been pretty average for the PCL.... other guys have earned a promotion before him. I'm sure the Giants have a good idea if he's opting in or out, and they will react likewise though.

Yes, but most of those have been knee-jerk reactions and/or filling a spot when needed. Not much of them are the "we are going young and testing out the youngsters for an extended time period" type of transactions. Williamson was supposed to be one but he didn't get extended time (unless you think 31 at-bats in two weeks is extended). The only ones that could really count toward what SFGRTB is talking about would be Arroyo, Slater and maybe Crick.

And yet Crick has sat for 2 games while Gearrin goes 2 innings. idk with this team sometimes
