Good thing about this game?

The FO will not have to stress over the decision on Bum coming back.

Nor will they have to stress over whether to pick up his option or not.

0-2 in SDI today

1-6 with RISP

I really shouldn't get my hopes up that this is the same Giants team of the last six years, but it is not. Nothing is as it was. And the league has passed us by. Everyone has big boppers in their lineup, and the Giants settle for singles ball. And no plate discipline. 8-20 when two walks or less.

Because he looks so good on offense AND defense?
I can kinda put up with his bat. That isn't why he is here.

But if you are on the team exclusively for your defense, THAN PLAY SOME FUCKING DEFENSE!

It seams every game he plays he makes an error or some bone-head non-error that screws over his pitcher.

And anecdotally, it seems like the Giants play station-to-station small ball while their opponents play 'take-2" small ball.

You can't play powerless baseball AND play it safe on the base paths.

Angel Hernandez is an embarrassment to officiating in general, but he was right there.

And Kontos comes in to allow the inherited runner to score before getting out of the inning. This team does everything wrong.

Not missing anything.

Nice to Slater playing well, though. Not certain he profiles to a starting MLB OFer, but he has certainly made McParker look bad.
With his double, Slater's numbers thus far, by OPS, make him the 2nd best hitter on this team.

Its pretty sad when two rookies, one projected to be a 4th outfielder and the other to be a 5th starter, are the 2nd best hitter and 2nd best pitcher on the team.

He's had 16 IR, and allowed 6 to score this season.

Law is 2/7

Gearrin is 9/16

Strick is 7/16
I have yet to find a good place to find these numbers. Where do you pull them from? How about Melancon, Morris and Osich?

pull up the player profile on mlb.com

On the pitchers, there is the usual IP, H, R, ER, etc

Than below that are advanced pitching stats, like IR IR_S BQR BQR_S etc.
