You have a case for Rolando McClain. Care to make one for Saban's other 13 1st rounders at Bama? Here's a clue. 11 of them were NFL starters in 2013 and the other two are Ingram and Richardson who've dealt with injuries each of their brief years yet combined still have 3200+ rushing and receiving yards and 27 TD's. You're already a far cry from "as they usually do."

Richardson, Upshaw, Barron, Hightower, Kirkpatrick, Chapman, Ingram, Dareus, McClain, Jackson, Cody, Arenas...perhaps Milliner next...

The list rolls on.

Do your homework before blabbing shit you don't know Dick. Chapman, Cody, Arenas, Upshaw weren't even 1st round picks. Dareus is a Pro-Bowler. Jackson has been a 4-year starter.

Typical butthurt Bamer fan...

The point is a majority of top picks from your suckhole university end up playing to a fraction of their expectation. #WarEagle

Typical Barner Fife. Makes a ridiculous statement he can't back up.

You gave me one Pro Bowl appearance out of the group. I believe the burden of backing up falls on you. I wouldn't try too hard though as what I'm saying isn't breaking news.

You made the ridiculous statement Barner Dick. Burden of proof is on you. So far you have 1 out of 14. Or maybe you're just jealous because your team has only had 2 1st round picks over the same time frame and both of them are dumbasses.

lol, if you say so hillbilly:

Richardson: Trash, traded, ineffective...
Upshaw: Trash, 3 sacks in 2 years of his career
Barron: Trash, 2 picks, 1 FF, inconsistent tackler
Hightower: Trash, 5 sacks in 2 years
Kirkpatrick: Trash, 3 picks in 2 years
Ingram: Trash, does he even play?
Dareus: Kinda Trash, 1 pro bowl
McClain: Trash, retired at age 23

Yup, NFL locks are bred at Bama! Looking into 8 over-hyped, first round picks and you've got 1 with a Pro Bowl...an injury replacement, mind you...

Jury is still out of Ingram... His production, or lack thereof, is due to the committee system he plays under. He doesn't see more than 10-15 touches per game. If Ingram was put into a run first offense then I could see him putting up Reggie Bush type numbers. He showed flashes of brilliance last season (145 yards off of 14 touches against DAL).

If Ingram was that good at the pro level there would be no platoon. But when Ingram is healthy and Pierre Thomas is commanding just as many or more carries...

Debatable... Doesn't matter the quality of RB... The Saints are a pass-first team. And that will always be detrimental to a RB's production. Even if you have AP on that team, he will still only see 10-15 touches per game. That's just how Sean Peyton plays the game!

Regardless of run/pass balance, the point is Mark Ingram is like 3rd on their depth chart.

I would say he is 2nd on their depth chart. You can't include Sproles on there because he was used in a completely different manner than a typical RB. Sproles was more of a flex specialist.

But you can't say "regardless of run/pass balance" because his usage was completely dependent of it. Even when Frenchie was out, Ingram was still limited to about 10 touches per game in a lead back role. Same went for Frenchie when he was the starter.

All I'm trying to say is that if you put Ingram on a different team then you would probably see he is not "trash". But until that day happens, who knows! Just don't be so quick to write him off!

The feature back is already a dying breed in the NFL and on top of that, Ingram has a hard time staying healthy. Ingram playing elsewhere ends up like Trent Richardson, which is fair comparison.

Yea that would be my only concern is whether or not he can stay healthy long enough. Yea I would say that's definitely a fair comparison. I had higher hopes for Richardson than I did Ingram, but not much has been made of either.

In all fairness, Alabama will breed offensive talent better suited to the NFL now they've ditched the old school offense and brought in Lane.

After looking at ESPN's top QB list, I'll throw in Logan Thomas. How he can show up in anyone's top 5 is unfathomable to me.
