I wouldn't change anything about that starting lineup. Alex Rodriguez might be a douche-bag, but he was a really good hitter for the Mariners when he was here. If we're talking all-time lineups, he has to be in it.

If I made any changes to the rotation, I'd swap Garcia out for Mark Langston. I also have no problem leaving Freddy in there.

The bullpen is where it gets tough, particularly the long reliever and the closer. The long reliever is tough because you could either just plug in a starter that you left out of the rotation or you can go back and try to remember who failed as a starter for the M's and was better suited for that long relief role. I know that Paul Abbott had a couple good years for us in the rotation, but I'm trying to remember if he was good for us in long relief too. I wanna say that he was, but I don't remember. If he wasn't good in that role, then I'll just pick someone that I left out of my rotation and go with Erik Hanson.

Closer is tough because we've actually had quite a few good ones over the years, Ayala and Mesa aside, so someone is gonna get left out who probably deserves to be on there. Putz is a good choice, but I'm going with Kaz Sasaki here. What's nice about picking a closer from this group is that whomever you don't choose to close, you can put in a setup role and be just as comfortable with them in that role as you would be with them in the closer role. You can't really go wrong, unless, again, you pick Ayala or Mesa.

Haha I would like to include Cliff Lee too but he was here for less than a year so I don't think that really counts. That's like the Seahawks including Jerry Rice in our all time Seahawks roster cause he played part of a year with Seattle.

And yes to Pineiro! The Pineiro I want as a long reliever is the Pineiro that first came up with us in his younger years when he was killing it in the bullpen. But I mean, Fister would be pretty good as our long reliever too.

Like some of the changes...I think if we're doing a bench we have to have Mike Cameron in there for his bat but most importantly his defense!

And instead of Bloomquist (who I like btw) I would probably put in our super utility man...Mark Mclemore!
