I don't know where Cousins mind was last night. He had a bad game but again the defense cant stop anybody. So even if Cousins did put up 30 points we still lose. Merriweather has to be the worst safety in football. Why aren't we using D. Jax? I think Cousins is a better Qb than he showed last night. I am interested to see how he handles Seattle.

I'm not ready to throw him overboard after one game in only is 5th NFL start. With that said his turnover rate is not new, he has had it in college and in the pros for sure.

I am just scratching my head as to why the Redskins had him throw so many times. Why not give the ball to Morris more? Was it simply because of the score? I mean they had to calm him down a bit after turning the ball over, so why not give him something simple like a hand-off?

Defense looked awful.... I think when the game was 'close'... the Natives still felt they HAD to score a bazillion points to win the game. Cousins doesn't look very good in that 'I'll carry the team on my shoulders' position.

If Kurt put up 30 you all probably win. How many of point did Kurt's mistakes give the Giants. I agree the Defense was bad but Kurt did the D no favors.

KC is a front runner. He doesn't handle adversity well at all. When he throws a pick, his mind can't get passed it and he stops seeing the field.

He needs to lean on the running game which the coach apparently doesn't like to do.

Merriweather was very bad and plays with no technique. Missing Rambo yet?

Nope - not missing Rambo. He stinks but so does most of the secondary. He wouldn't make them any better. If this team hopes to have a decent secondary in the future then a lot of those players are not on the current roster.

Can't really blame the defense for the what 5 turnovers Cousins had. 4 INTs and that fumble

I'm usually beating the Feed Morris drum as loudly as anyone. But he got his 11th carry in the 3rd quarter and by then it was 31-14. Just can't pound out 8 minuted drives, best case, in that situation. They had no choice but to open it up.

yeah after the 3rd it was pretty much a mute point but if Cousins wasn't throwing all the time then perhaps it would have been a much closer game in the 1st half. After all the Giants capitalized on all of his INTS and he threw what... 3 in the 1st half?

3 in the Third quarter, 1 in the 4th. Strip sack in the 1rst. Basically a TO festival as the game continued.

hmm.. Not sure why I thought first half. My bad. Well there you go... The Skins could have and probably should have ran the ball more.

Anyone catch Nantz and Sims kind of getting upset at each other because one said Redskins and the other just said Washington

I know you don't want pity from an Iggles fan but I felt bad for you guys last night.

To me, the biggest problem with the Redskins is the defense. I don't get how Haslett was retained. He is terrible.

WTF was going on with the coverage last night? You know the Giants are using a short-passing offense, yet at times you play off receivers and give them easy short completions? Why not blitz Eli? He was way too damn comfortable back there.

I also think some of the talent the Redskins have defensively has been vastly overrated by the team and the fans. Orakpo is not a franchise player at OLB. He is a very average guy. Ditto Kerrigan. Yes, he got four sacks against the Jaguars. Doesn't make him a good football player.

I like Trent Murphy, and a few other players on that D, but all in all, you need a complete overhaul on that side of the ball. Most of the young players are scrubs. The coaching seems below average. It's like Danny believes that because the D punched above its weight a few years ago for one season, that he can just maintain status quo. I don't think so. The whole thing needs to be blown up.

Now will you please be quiet about Cousins! :gaah:

I think everyone was shocked on what he did last night. Every analyst had us scoring 30 points last night.

I was certainly shocked at the NUMBER of TOs, but wasn't surprised at the possibility of KC throwing interceptions. Seems like only you completely ignored how he played against the Gnats and other teams. at the end of last year. Too small a sample size yet, but there is NO doubt that when under pressure, KC has a tendency to press and throw easy interceptions.

Dude, you need to give it a rest. What we saw last night is Cousins. When he is hot, he is hot. But when crunch time comes, he gets happy feet, locks onto a receiver and rushes throws. All resulting in multiple turnovers. He now has 18 turnovers in 7 games played. That will kill any team. KC may out grow it. Romo never did. What ever complaints you have about RG3, he doesn't cough up INTs like KC does. Just take a breath and realize that KC is probably a perennial backup. Combine that with our other shortcomings and routs like we saw last night will happen. Probably as soon as a week from monday.
