Wow, all of this is GREAT NEWS. I remember when the eye injury happened it reminded me of Ohlunds eye injury/surgery early in his career. He came back to be a stalward for the Canucks for many years...

Just remarkable how fast he's been able to come back from a very scary injury. I don't care if he suits up for a game in the playoffs, it's awesome to see him practicing this quickly.

I notice Gillis, who is very careful (some may say calculating) with his words, has changed from saying "will not play for the rest of the year" to "is highly unlikely to play". a subtle, but important difference.

Big thing is to down play the possibility until it becomes a happy surprise. the guys in the room have to know that it's up to them... the cavalry is not just over the hill (I've been watching John Wayne movies lately).
