Wow! Flynn is in again!

Packers signed Flynn to back up Tolzien against the Giants in week 11.

Not sure how the paying players like this works. Does this mean Flynn is getting checks from the Raiders & the packers? (didn't he start the season with the raiders?)

I think that he only gets whatever signing bonus he got in Oakland (i.e., the guaranteed portion of his contract there). He'll now get game checks from GB. I think he also already got paid a $10 million signing bonus from Seattle. He's made some pretty good for money for having taken very few snaps.

He'll be the back up. I think Wallace goes on IR or gets cut. What do we need him for? Tolzien showed enough to be given a good chance at being the back up. Flynn hasn't been throwing the ball well for a while, but he is at least familiar with the coaches, players, play calling etc, in GB. He's a better option than anything else out there. Want to bring back Young? They were being nice to him when Thompson blamed his failure for making the team on himself for not bringing him in earlier to give him a chance.

But we all know what he knows. He wasn't that good. He can throw a long ways. Isn't that accurate, can run a little bit. I think he had more rushes than completed passes in the preseason. We've been thru enough other "backups" to know they aren't coming back and going to be worth a shit, so why not Flynn?

There has to be something wrong with Flynn's arm. He sat out some practicing in Seattle with a tired arm, it's hard to think someone without arm issues gets a tired arm when he's taking 1/3 of the snaps in a practice.
